I interviewed for another place over a year ago, got to the last 2 and didnt get it. They rang on Friday and offered me the job. I told my boss and he just beat what they had offered. 16.5% raise. My commute is 5 min and it would have been about 40-60min if I moved so i'm delighted!
just out of an 80 minute interview here in London! was expecting it to be a half hour. Didn't arrive at the office here until noon practically! Hopefully it won't have raised suspicion.
the woman I interviewed with moved from Dublin direct to London into this Co. which helps. Overall, I had a lot more job specs thrown my way 18 months ago when I was looking in Dublin.

Interviews are the worst. I work in IT, I'm basically a non-technical manager sort. If the interviewee decides to test my technical ability, its a very bad day for me.

Just got send 21 CVs of UL students for some intern positions here.
Every single one of them has a photo included. When did that become a thing in Ireland?

Social media generation innit
So not so much as a looker then Shivo?
For years they've asked for photos on job applications in the council. One time I had to borrow a shirt so I could get a photo and meet the deadline.

Anyone ever interviewed with Amazon before?
I completed two screening interviews over the phone. Now just another five phone interviews.
Fairly rigorous.

up until last year I used do the grad / intern interviews for a big 4 firm. only one had a photo attached. she was hot. Her CV was also like 5 pages long, and had a quote about her at the top
I knew one of the girls. she took the payout and joined a cult.

Oh yeah it was PwC.
I was mistaking it with "KPMG Girl" which was around the same time, the wally in Ray's Pizza bragging about how rich her oul lad is.
God the internet is mad isn't it.

When I started working for PwC they did a 2 month residential corporate brainwashing induction course. Some serious amount of alcohol and riding involved.
photos on CVs are the norm over here for quite a few industries. the missus works in recruitment and has recently been removing the photos before sharing them due to some majorly over the top botox/plastic surgery on candidates
