Life
Most reviews are namechecking Gravity and Alien when talking about this. I never managed to complete Gravity without nodding off so I can't fully compare but at least this is not as boring. The alien is nicely designed. And yeah, it's riffing on Alien but set in a contemporary UN-like space station. So it's missing all the cool future tech and design elements of Alien. It's quite gripping and the cast is solid. Made me squirm with a few scenes.

Must read the book. The original film really terrified me.

Looks pretty great yeah. Who is playing Pennywise again? Peter Sarsgard was it?
Won't be able to move for all the King adaptations soon. I feel like waiting for The Stand is turning into my life's work.
Can see a trilogy of posters in my head:
The Stand: Captain Trips
The Stand: On the Border
The Stand: The Stand

i think IT needs a big budget. the book is so amazing, one of my favourites. surprised they're fitting it all in one film, i mean i'm glad they are but there's so much to the story
love the stand too, might give that another go

the trailer for IT is terrible. really has put me off seeing it, and i was optimistic before.
the child actors look absolutely awful.

If it's something like IT where I know the story anyway I don't mind watching the trailers, I try to avoid them as much as possible otherwise.

usually avoid trailers for films i actually want to see, but watched the one for it because i know the story already. i'd also heard the trailer was scary. it isn't.
on a separate note i see john cusack was in belfast for the QFT film festival. he's been tweeting pictures of the crown, no alibis book shop etc. that would be a seriously cool person to bump into. looks like he was out and about quite a bit too.
