Here's some pics from the gig last night. Was such a great performance, I thought.
Weird that they wouldn't ket us shoot the first song - which was the only one the drummer had his glasses on for. I thought that was his schtick. Anyway:

Cheers Burro!
Yeah a good few people have said that about the picture, makes me wonder if I should go back and review the pictures of gigs I never posted for similar reasons.

It was quite short, I had my post shoot pint and by the time I got back there was only a handful of songs left. Not complaining mind, free gig is a free gig!

Thank you Lola.
My photography teacher isn't mad on gigs though, so he wouldn't agree. But my latest project will blow his arty-farty head off.

I'm contacting all my old exes, asking them to meet me where/near where we broke up, taking a picture and legging it. He loves all that kind of malarkey. I'll post the results here if I get anything decent!

As if I'd need that. There were far better reasons for being dumped than that.

Anyway, the only two who said yes so far don't live in the country at the moment. And I couldn't be arsed going to Newry for one picture. I've got one f*ck OFF so far, but I'm thinking of doorstopping her... Could be interesting.

I'm off to see Robert Plant later. Can't wait. Though I haven't listened to a tap of his solo stuff. He went all folksy and stuff, didn't he?

What's that to do with photography? Unless you want to see the shocked look on their faces but still..

He's an arty-farty bollix, my lecturer, mad into all that Philip Lorca DiCorcia surveillance stuff. I'm hoping to copy those ideas - obviously not the quality (the man is a genius behind the lens), There's a fairly big history of isurveillancein photography, as this sums up, somewhat.

What I'm hoping to do this is capture a relationship through the lens. It's not all shock, I'll post some text about what happened between us etc., and hope they pose in a way fitting to the end of our time together. It'll be voyeuristic for the viewer to an extent. My personal failed relationships on a large projector, with some words about my failings.

I like the idea myself, but the practicalities are a bastard at the moment.

i never told him dont do it cause its been done before.. in fact i never told him not to do it at all.. as it happens i dont think he should do it because i think its a bit of a dick thing to do

unless the girls know exactly what he's up to.. like i thought he was gonna ask to meet them .. leave them sitting or standing there as he sits across the road in a hedge taking pictures of them without them knowing

It's not like anyone is gonna see it other than the people in my course, though.
And I am going to meet with with them. Just take a picture when they're not expecting it and use those. It's kind of the point. Who would let their ex take their picture?

What's the difference between that and being at a party and having all them facebook pictures uploaded, like?
The legging it thing probably won't happen, to be honest, I'm not really that kind of bloke, and I'm genuinely interested in some of them and how they're getting on etc.
Don't think anyone's being 'used' here really.
