Getting bit excited now.
I stayed in Poble Sec last year and the previous time I went to Primavera. It's actually grand. If you can get a taxi they can take the motorway up the coast road to the festival, it's only about 10-15 mins to the festival and not expensive at all

The area is deadly as well, loads of cracking little squares
Brilliant, was just reading about this micro brewery

Be sure to check out Placa de Sortedor if you can. It's a little square we wer estaying beside but there was loads of stuff on every night in it. More aimed at the community rather than tourists but it was great to sit amongst the locals and have a few beers

Dont forget yer passports. Hopefully we dont get shot or blown up, that would be shite craic
NEW SECURITY MEASURES

In order to ensure the security of the audience and to guarantee that everybody has a good time during the festival, this year the following measures have been introduced:

OBLIGATORY IDENTIFICATION

It will be necessary to have your identity card or passport on you at all times, as it is obligatory to show it before or while picking up and exchanging your tickets, or if required by security staff on the Parc del Fòrum site. In the case of non-Spanish audience, copies of official ID papers from your country will be accepted (ID, passport, driver’s license).

Also, it is recommended that you pick up and exchange your ticket on the 30th,, 31st May and 1st June to avoid possible queues on the main days of the festival.

MOTORBIKE HELMETS, BAGS, BACKPACKS AND SUITCASES ON THE SITE

For security reasons it will not be permitted to enter the Parc del Fòrum site with motorbike helmets, large suitcases, bags and backpacks. As at previous editions, it will be possible to access the site with smaller backpacks and bags.

Other objects that will not be permitted on the site are: bottles, cans, laser pointers, professional photo and video equipments, drones and arms of any kind.

ATTENTION: There will be no cloakroom outside the site; as also for security reasons this service has been cancelled.

IMPORTANT: It is recommended to leave large objects and any other objects that are not permitted on the site in your accommodation and to lock your helmets to your vehicle.

It's funny. I'm way more excited about another festival (Fusion) happening at the end of June, for which noone knows the full lineup until they get there.
Apples and Oranges and all that.
Probably because i get to meet friends i haven't seen in years.
But regardless, it's special.

Heading to Primavera tomorrow....first timers so I don't know the lay of the land yet. What's the norm before heading down to parc del forum, is there any bars you guys would recommend nearby? We are staying in Sant Marti area so not too far away. You primavera pro's all fluent in the local lingo? Any other pearls of wisdom for this newbie would be greatly appreciated.

✌.

there isnt a whole lot nearby it. I would recommend going down early and getting your wrist band and having a nosey around to find all the stages. It was about twice as big between when I went the first time and last year and I missed someone last year because I didnt have a clue where to go. You will be fine with English, anywhere in the City actually.

Any of you have problems printing off Spanish ticketmaster? I keep getting a Spanish error note every time I go to print? Have me reference number but can't get past that to print. I'm still in Galway, flying out this afternoon.

Hmm, didn't get anything like that. I had a .pdf emailed to me when I bought the ticket. Did you get anything like that?
