ticketmaster are obviously the biggest cunts for it. really resent using them but certain venues leave you no other choice unfortunately.
gigs & tours and seetickets are getting just as bad at being robbing bastards, though.
i was at john grant last night. sold out gig, tickets were 25 FV. i paid 40 for 2 because i found a guy online who needed to sell. it's really the only way to go about it now.

Fan club presale tix for Beyonce are wild money. Someone on twitter said you can pay €460 if you want, I think that's the "Super VIP bow down bitches slay all day package" or something.

I got a couple for Beyonce through the American Express pre-sale. Mega brownie points with the Mrs now.
And I'm looking forward to it myself.

Yeah gonna stand, but I prefer standing then sort of getting a spot somewhere near the back of standing around the sound desk.
Hopefully it'll be a little more sane there

Its normally shortly after 11 but I notice that for Foals doors are 6.30 which seems a little early plus its not like they do a massive set so it might be earlier tonight.Rob wrote:What's the curfew for Irish indoor gigs nowadays? 3 Arena is great, right on the port tunnel so last time I was at a gig there I was home by 12.30 so it must have ended around 10.30-11.

Indeed, they are a really good live band, have enough songs in their repertoire to keep it engaging. The albums have a lot of dross. Spanish sahara live last night was amazing. The sound in the 3 arena is just awful in certain places.Lumbo wrote:Foals were great last night.

Oh turns out I'm going to Springsteen, my gf got us tix.
I wasn't pushed because of the price but hey, in for a penny, in for a (hundred) pound.

Foals and Everything Everything were both really good. But i cant help but feel Foals arent (and probably never will be) a big arena headlining band. Obviously they sold it out so that proves me wrong haha, but when you look at the calibre of band that usually headline those venues, Foals are just not on the same level
Turns out I forgot all about it till you posted nowDick Jones wrote:Oh turns out I'm going to Springsteen, my gf got us tix.
