Battlestar Galactica is class.

People who say it isn't for nerds are in denial, though.

it doesn't really hook you in until about 4 or 5 episodes into the first series

but once you get hooked you'll watch all five series in a few weeks

Read a while back that Bryan Singer is planning a battlestar galactica movie.

Stoic being the most difficult expression to pull off. A job well done son.

I was going to suggest the book David Simon wrote that Homicide was based on, if he's a reader. It's brilliant.

Finished the first series there last week and started series 2 last night. First few episodes are slow enough but then it just gets AWESOME. Cool show.

I might go back and start series 3 again. I watched a couple of episodes then didn't get a chance for a while so lost track. May as well start the series again.

I'm guessing you already ordered something RG? If not, Generation Kill is awesome. He might like it. It's really good on characters and stuff, about the US Marines in Iraq.
