Just briefly - I hated Sloane & Ari's wife on that show. Wahlberg really didn't do a great job of being sympathetic to women at all. The tequila lady fucked Turtle around too if I recall correctly. And the English journalist fucked over Vince.

Meadow Soprano was cool though. Anyways, point is Entourage makes you believe all women are bad. But not porn stars.

Brilliant fun I thought, loved everything about it. Mad Max has always been about campy shite uneasily living alongside grim post-apocalyptic stuff that would otherwise be depressing, and they nailed it. Loved the villains and their convoy and of course guitar man. A star is born.
Saw Insidious 3 on Friday, the day it came out and there was less than half the crowd for mad max.

I rewatched entourage over the last few weeks as it's gone on the on demand on sky. It's portrayal of women isn't great but apart from that I find it enjoyable enough. Don't think I'll be heading to the cinema to see it though.

I see James Cameron has done an interview and said the new Terminator film is really good and "fans of the series" will love it.

Sounds like 11th-hour damage control to me.

May watch The Amazing SpiderMan 2 tonight. That or Safety Not Guaranteed which is on Flim4 at 9.

Haven't seen either. Not expecting much from TASM2 but it HAS to be better than the first. Doesn't it?

It's actually much much worse. The first one got a pass for Garfield and Stone seeming like Peter Parker and Gwen. This one doesn't have redeeming features. it has Paul Giamatti in a robot rhino suit doing a mortifying Russian accent.

It's always hilarious when a super serious character actor like Giamatti does a blockbuster.

He's probably like...this is shiiiiiiiite, but they're paying me fuckin $3m to do it, so whatever. Where's my rhino suit.

Ah ffs. Shouldn't be surprised really. Much much worse is not good at all though.

In the space of 2 years Giamatti acted in Sideways, Cinderella Man & The Illusionist.
Then in 18 months he was in Lady in the Water, Shoot 'Em Up, The Nanny Diaries & Fred Claus.

I blame Shyamalan for fucking up his career.

I read a few of the reviews and all the criticism is pretty much the same as could be said about the TV show, it's mysoginistic and the characters are shallow. I know critics have to see a film and review it on it's merits so it's fair enough to criticise it but it really does sound like it's just an extended episode so none of the reviews made it sound any worse than the tv show. I don't think I'll go to the cinema for it but I'm sure I'll see it at some stage and enjoy it the same as the tv show.

Captain America 2
Started well with ambiguity about SHIELD then copped out and just said "fuck it, Nazis." Still a long way from Iron Man quality.
Chris Evans remains the worst choice of hero since Ben Affleck first time round, zero charisma.

How did they "cop out", sure the reveal was that SHIELD was run by HYDRA, they've always been Nazis.
Anyway for me CA2 is the best of the Marvel bunch. I was never that pushed on Iron Man, I don't think Chris Evans is bad at all either. He's doing quite well with a fairly boring character.
