Been gyming with a good leg routine the last few 2 months to see if I can get my knee sorted and maybe start running again, went out tonight for a 5k to see if there was any improvement and ended up running my fastest recorded 15k, delighted.
It's definitely sore now but I couldn't run more than 5k on it 6-7 months ago without it absolutely aching. Kicking myself for not mixing in exercises before.

Entered a 10k this Friday night. No idea what the course is like other than it finishes with a couple of laps of an athletics track.
I've not done any running in ages, but I'm going to use it as a gauge and if I hit certain times I'm gonna enter Belfast half Marathon in September and/or Dublin Marathon in October

Started at gym work about 6 months ago...before that it was all team sports and running. The weights work has been great. I'm definitely fitter for rugby and I've a half marathon on Sunday to see how my running is coming along.

ive our league cup final on friday and then it's all gym, swim & run for the summer. anyone else play sunday league footy?
Just did my last 20 mile run before the Derry Marathon.....took it at a fairly easy pace, ran it in 2:58 but was going a bit faster for the last 5 miles. Think I might target staying with the 3:30 pacers as long as I can, and if I finish under 3:45 I'll be very happy.

Ah right, I've a full marathon the following week so can't be taking that.

I used to. And I loved it. I keep thinking about doing it again. But I can't be arsed anymore.
Haven't lifted heavy since February because I wanted to get my weight below 92kg and avoid ending up in the open weight class in Grappling/BJJ competitions.
Want to start doing a bit more again but the gym I used for lifting is awkward to get to since I've moved.
Was it Mexicola who squatted double his weight recently?
