Weights speed up your metabolism, which will really boost any dietary changes you're making as well!

Really? Good!

I came to this thread to ask about this

I joined a new gym about a month ago and they're really sound and helpful and do give you workout programs and stuff if you want. And for the last two weeks I've been doing weights and I was kinda wondering should I try lose weight before doing weights, because I don't wanna be all bulky, I just wanna lose like a stone and be more toned.

But you're saying weights help weightloss? Sound

Thats probably a stupid question but I don't know that much about this kinda thing

its great for losing weight

i find it easier than through cardio oddly enough

after a good work out you'll have burned a few hundred calories, but then the whole next day when your body is recovering it is continuing to burn more. I run all the time but if i stop doing weights i lose my shape pretty quickly. weights = shexyness

It's very hard for any woman to bulk up noticeably unless they're taking steroids Magic, so no worries on that score

Get involved in the classes at your gym if they put some on, they're brilliant, you get pushed more than you'd push yourself, and it's extra motivation to go along too

But for sure, give as much time to weights as cardio is what I'd recommend

If you need any help putting together a beginners program let me know!

Did not know that about weights speeding up metabolism. At the moment I'm running just trying to build up fitness, going to have to join a gym in the next couple of months to get working on weights

you only get a half hour for lunch here, it's appalling. I'd love to do something like that

Started the new season with a football team last week, brilliant getting back to playing again

Balancing training, gym, matches and work is tough though

nope I run, shower, eat, it works out perfectly, not even rushed! so I get 5 30min runs a week(5-6k) just by going to work, heaven for a fitness freak, highlight of the work day

dazzler my gym is on the way home from work so I finish work at 5, hit the gym till half 6 then home about the same time as everyone else. skip the gym on wed for footy training, play my match on sundays. got a grand routine going.I love routine boringly enough and i look shockin smexy these days if I do say so myself :)
