So similar to Rockness I'm finding myself working at a festival that I probably wouldn't pay to attend otherwise.
With previous Oxegens as a measure there'll be a few little gems hidden in there.

Who are these gems?
http://www.tinthepark.com/content/defau ... page=s3_26

Acts I'm already hoping to see are

Brianjonestown Massacre
Alabama Shakes
Stone Roses
Django Django
Elbow
Nicki Minaj

Possibly see again

New Order
Benga
Skream
DJ Yoda
Orbital
Happy Mondays

and considering
Alt-J
Childish Gambino
and
The Horrors

Anything I'm not spotting or aware of that I should look into,
actually I'm just off to check on Simple Minds

nicki minaj????wouldn't watch her in my back garden.if your doing e/mdma catch orbital. seen new order and happy mondays recently, surprised at how good the mondays gig was enjoyment wise.new order were brilliant.for both,if you know the music you will enjoy the hits. bro in law turned me on to simian mobile disco a few years back, some great tunes like hustler, tits and acid and hotdog and defo catch paul kalkbrenner playing sky and sand at the end of his set.
personally i would go to watch cher lloyd just so i could chuck eggs at the wee rat.

Saw Erol Alkan in Belfast a few months ago, he was great.
From the rest Jack Beats & Maya Jane Coles stand out for me.

Hrrmmmm.

So Simian Mobile Disco was started after previous band Simian split, who knew? I'll have to dig out (ie download) Chemistry Is What We Are, see how it's aged.

Meek Mill could be a runner, as too SMD, Erol and Jack Beats
Only issue is if the dance stage at Oxegen is a good indication I'll be avoiding that whole area I'd say

Really liking Maya Jane Coles actually.

Loads of good suggestions.
I'm really hoping to find more "bands" types though. I'm a bit weird with regards to "dance" music and loads of it leaves me cold, it's especially likely if it's at a festival.

I'll be offline from tomorrow evening though so keep em coming

I'd imagine it couldn't be as bad as oxegen for some reason. I'd be interested to hear back if it is or not.

Bands wise - For me, I'd be making an effort to see: Stone Roses, Elbow, Django django, Alt-j, Miike Snow, the Brian Jonestown Massacre.

The Subways and two door cinema club might be worth a watch too.

It should be good craic for ya, the Scots are great for a party in the meadow, I recommend just floating between the stages and having the banter, just watch for the occasional welly flying through the air full of piss. Neds are the usual perpetrator of this form of activity, the Scottish version of the scanger or scumbag at Oxegen, although not as rife as at Oxegen.
