:?

Surely the wage bill would have to be reduced in accordance with having less players?

Wasn't he just the best team to go in for a much-sought after proven PL striker who was made available for loan?
Plus the barry everton rumours had surfaced long before he joined under Martinez I thought?

He's done a great job this season, playing much more attractive football, and I'm a big fan of the man. the end product was to move up one spot - above a spurs team that lost one of the world's best players.

Makes a bit of a mockery of the whole thing. Good old UEFA.
I think they're pretty harsh sanctions, and about right

they've to pick 21 CL players, and 8 of them have to be home grown. That'll potentially cripple them

Homegrown only has to be British players now does it? Doesn't have to be players they brought through or anything.
Still dunno if they'd have 8 though now that I think about it...

Is it not players that have been with the club for a certain length of time. The dont have to be British

Certain amount of time under a certain age isn't it? Three years at the club under the age of 21/22?

Are Liverpool going to be able to spend much this summer if they want to keep in line with FFP?

spending in the summer be assessed with the tv money received at the end of next season for the champions league? that warrior deal worth 50m too a season.

that said they did make a 50m loss last year - not sure if that was due to ongoing expenditure or one-off items

No I mean I really don't understand if we would be or not, I thought it had to be violations over a couple of years. What aspect of it would we be violating by spending £60m this summer, say.

I thought Liverpool were on the verge of trouble in that regard. Are they not operating at nearly £100m loss over the last couple of years?

We can't be sanctioned until 2015 though (same as Monaco), because we weren't in Europe this year.

Is the book being thrown at PSG too?

I'd imagine their overhauls to be not too dissimilar to Man Citys.

i think that was the idea when Mancini got stuck having to buy Rodwell & Scott Sinclair instead of good footballers

wouldnt help them

you have to have at least 4 players trained at the club, and 8 trained in the uk in total. They still count towards the 21 in the squad. After that, you can register U21 players on the day, who have been at the club more than 2 years. That's why Januzaj wasnt in Utd's squad until the last group game, he wasnt eligible to be registered as part of the squad after the deadline. So even if they go out a buy a load of kids this summer, they wont be eligible for 2 years.

I could see them offering players lower weekly wages but much higher appearance fees and lower percentage image rights
