I doubt it. There won't be more than a couple of points in it either way. Do you not think Dublin not having scored til half an hour in would have been a kick up the arse for them at half time? And still going in 5 points up? We did brilliantly to get back into it, each time. Sure after the Kerry game all anyone could talk about is how Dublin don't let up for 75+ minutes. It was Mayo who pulled themselves back into the game, 3 points down on 67/68 minutes.
Do you actually think the only reason Dublin didn't win is because every player had an off day? Nothing to do with Mayo being a match for ye and outplaying ye for a lot of it in shite conditions? We've been the only team who's truly been able to rattle Dublin the last few years. We've mostly come out on the wrong side of it but we've consistently ran ye close.
As biggy said above, it doesn't feel like we threw it away. It wasn't as bad as the 2013 final, which I felt we 'threw away' in the first half. Last year, we somehow managed to make a comeback but ye were the much better team over two games.
We matched ye, and mostly beat ye, man for man on the pitch yesterday. Just read that Connolly has scored 5 points from play to Keegan's 4 in 5 matches going back to 2012. Does he just 'play shite' every now and again against us, or do you think maybe Keegan is one of the best footballers in the country marking probably the best player in the country out of it? You haven't a fucking clue.
It's going to be very, very close the next day. I can't wait for it.
