is palma worth visiting for a day then?
Palma is a great city, I would defo recommend a day or two there. Maybe with a week you wouldn't have time but I would highly recommend the train trip to Soller, it is gorgeous, a little train through the countryside and through the mountains to a town called Soller which is surrounded by orange groves. You could go there and back in the same day no problem- it leaves from Palma.

nah that sounds too steep for what would be essentially a brief stopover.

come on now mojo, we'll have just paid a fortune for the wedding. we'll not exactly be throwing it about.

I love writing cheques. Old school Arthur Daly style. Slide it across the bar saying - I'd give it a day or two before I'd cash that.
