I'm not too sure how the wc will work out this year for me. I should see some games but i'll be on my honeymoon for most of it and so i'll probably miss loads.

no unfortunately!LordPercy wrote:Where did you decide to go in the end Eric New York is it?
we couldn't make it work in the end so we've just plumped for a beach holiday in spain and then on to glastonbury.
not shockingly original but it's exactly what we wanted.
But that's the main thing, some people seem to spend time trying to do something completely original or once in a lifetime but if you want to go to blackpool for a week it's what you should doeric the beard wrote:not shockingly original but it's exactly what we wanted.LordPercy wrote:Where did you decide to go in the end Eric New York is it?

yeah this is it. we did have some grand ideas at the start of the year but then it started to dawn on us that we just didn't want to go too crazy after all.
the main plan is to down tools for a bit and do precious little.
we have one or two small trips back to dublin and letterkenny in july & august and then I have no leave left to take until christmas

mates of ours went for 3 days in scarborough as part of their honeymoon last year. they didn't give a shit, they like it there (naturally there was raised eyebrows and people saying SCARBOROUGH?..SOMETHING DIFFERENT ANYWAY)

On the 30th, I'm heading back to Iceland - scene of my first major holiday bowelocalypse.
There'll be no service station burritos this time.
Then heading to Tuscany for a week in September.
In between I also have the joy of heading to Letterkenny for a wedding, with afters on Tory Island.
I'd be lying if I said I didn't fear that more than any colon evactuaction.

I have one there in august you see.
It would appear a bullet has been doged so.
By whom, I'm not sure.

There is nothing wrong with Letterkenny, shivo.
Where's the wedding, just in the Cathedral with the reception on Tory Island? That sounds very awkward if so.

Nothing wrong with Letterkenny at all.
Church and reception is all there, but the 2nd day there's a big session on Tory. That's the part I'm afraid of.
I've been drinking with some Tory folk before. It doesn't end well.

Do you know where the reception is? Silver Tassie, Clanree?
Heading to Primavera in Porto also. Had to cut short the rest of my plans for after to come back and do the embassy interview for heading to the States. Could be worse like!
My brother's going to be doing placement for college over in Edinburgh from mid-August to mid-October so will hopefully head over to him for the weekend when I'm home.
And I'm going to the States for 3 months (working holiday)

think I'm coming home on Thursday next week until Tuesday the week after.
Have my sister's 30th on Sat, being godfather at my nieces christening on Sunday, and hoping to squeeze in a Friday and BH Sunday night in
yet to book the flights, so haven't actually told anyone other than my brother
