what are we all doing?

forum meetup?

in wigan for my missus' da's 60th then back to MCR to run on sunday. hopefully see a bit of the new corrie set.

saw and was then involved in one of the least rock and roll cringiest things ever last weekend, was at a family do on the missus' side, there was a band and at one stage there was a rag-tag bunch of assorted females (the missus, aunties, ma's , and a couple of grannies) standing on the dance floor in front of the guitarist doing the syncronised rock hand clap to "we will rock you", I was watching from the bar and it looked like a big group of hamsters standing in front of him. I was feeling a bit sorry for the guitarist in particular and the band in general (has it really come to this?) when my missus came running over and grabbed me and started pulling me out on to the floor. I resisted, but she gave me the guilt trip and pleaded, saying she wanted to get more people "dancing" for her aunty who had organised the "do". I ended up in the middle of this group, the only male, hand clapping like the best of them, with a group of grannies and aunties all playing air guitar around me. And whilst this was bad enough, there is a particular woman in the bar of a certain vintage with learning difficulties who then apparently took a bit of a shine to me, so I had to dance with her with the rest of them all clapping in a big circle.

the one good thing about this is that I am completely in the good books with the missus, and as a result, I have a green light this weekend.

told the missus that after that ordeal I would be cutting loose this weekend and I fully intend to get hammered tonight......

very hard to get a nice gourmet style sandwich. Apparently green bench are doing nice ones but its closed on weekends :(
There is a full american style deli on parnell street. Its called 157. I know you wouldn't venture over that far but I'd say Ferris would like it. You have the pig and heifer up near him but again I dont think that opens on weekends

Pig and Heifer opens on weekends

Is that (those) place up there with the best sandwich places around? I've eaten there 3 times, first was meh (Hot Beef sandwich), second time I ordered some chicken wrap and got a smoked salmon wrap. How bad like, you can't really muck that up but it was so different to my actual order it was comical! Thankfully smoked salmon is one of my favourite foods.

Third time I got the Mile High... and now that... THAT is the standard. A man's sandwich. I thought I was nearly finished it and thought 'phew, getting full here'. Looked down and realised there was half it left! And that doesn't happen me often
Get the eggs, get the flan in the face, the flan in the face, flan in the face, dance you fucker, dance you fucker, don't you dare, don't you dare, don't you, flan in the face

Good man Casino.

It is that place yeah. The best one is the one just across from Connoly station. There's a few sambos on there that are standard but you want to get the big guns like the mile high and Reuben's. It's the bread that makes it so if you've ended up with a wrap, although very very tasty, it's not a patch on their bread. The one at Connolly deffo doesn't open on weekends. The one at Harcourt might.

During the week that one shuts at around 3 cos they run out of bread, then run out of wraps, then run out of baguettes they get for super valu.

I usually try and make it there once each time I'm home.

Just back from playing a 5 a side. Feckin humid as hell!

Felt like the Irish team at USA 94! Cold shower sounds like a lovely idea.

Dropped and smashed my iPhone tonight. Apple charge £170 to replace it. Might just wait til the end of the month and spend an extra £140 and get a Galaxy s4 or Sony Experia or something.

I've been warned off the S4 (though I did/do really like my S3).....I've been contemplating a Nexus 5 for my next phone.

I can't quite stretch to the s5 price wise. Might shop around see what's out there though. Fancy going with android for a while. Haven't used it since the days of the HTC desire HD

Sure have a look for the Nexus 5, it's cheaper than the S4 even is now. Stock android as well, isn't it? My brother says it's a class phone anyway; http://www.amazon.co.uk/LG-Nexus-Smartp ... ds=nexus+5

I'm using a HTC Desire at the moment, since I smashed up my S3 screen.
