What's on your mind?
Congrats! Our 2nd is just 3 weeks old. Came 18 days early. Wife was in for a check up and the obstetrician said right we're scheduling you in for the next slot so got a day and a halfs notice. Forgotten how draining it all is but worth it all. Back to work monday after nearly a month off.
Congrats to both of ye.
That sounds like a scary one Eoin. My wife nearly had to have a C section and I was shitting it, yours sounds like a real rollercoaster. Glad it all worked out in the end anyway, gotta love those maternity staff, they're amazing. Now the fun begins. Expect that blur feeling to last at least another 6 weeks.

Scary, but congrats Eoin!
All I've been thinking for the last five and a half months is, it must be easy with one baby at a time, yiz bastards.
We got a 45 min warning before a section. Doc had a look and said, yup I think we're taking the babies out now. Bam

Since we're on the subject lads, I'm gonna be a dad too, in July
I'm enjoying all the different strands of advice people are offering
My favourite so far has been "don't listen to any of it".

Congrats Eoin, glad all is ok and hope it continues to be!
And congrats also DJ!
What date in July? We're the 9th but they originally told is the 12th so I'm hoping for that so I can call it Billy or Sasha

Congrats DJ. "Don't listen to any of it" is probably the best advice.Dick Jones wrote: ↑Sat Mar 03, 2018 10:13 pmSince we're on the subject lads, I'm gonna be a dad too, in July![]()

went out for dinner saturday night, wasn't a wild one by any means. up at 8am the next morning, had breakfast, went to the driving range. Had 2 drinks, and once i got home, i turned into a feverish, achy, nauseous, gaseous mess! was awful! Woke up at 4am this morning and i was fine, other than a stiff back from being in bed for that long.
Idris Elba added to Forbidden Fruit
Earl added on the Sunday tho. I’ve never seen Bonobo. How good is he? Very tempted to go for him, having trouble getting mates to go.
Got The XX tickets yesterday. Seems to be from a new promoter, Selective Memory, who’s also booked gigs for Broken Social Scene and Mount Kimbie. Decent prices too. Probably worth following on insta as they’d be a bit off the radar for usual gigs

Idris Elba was actually booked for Forbidden Fruit a few years ago but pulled out at the last minute. I'd do a day of it this year if Justice, Vince Staples and Earl were all on the same one. Having seen them all before ( Justice and Vince multiple times) can't really justify it. Would love to see what Bagbak and Big Fish are like live though, absolutely huge production on them.
Thanks everyone and congratulations Dick Jones. big times ahead of you.
We got home on saturday night, for all of 3 hours. one of the epidurals went right through and into her and caused a spinal tap. we were told it would cause headaches and to come straight in if it did. All the medication she was on blocked it out for her until we got home, so in again we went. funny thing about hospitals at weekends, anyone who can do anything isn't there. form checking in at 10pm on saturday we had to wait until 10am monday before we could get the blood patch to fix it. they kept her over night on monday and we got home early on tuesday. All good now, thank god.

isn't that one of the big problems with the health service they're always talking about, and causing such backlogs. The consultants will only work 9-5 Mon - Fri and then they're doing private practise during those hours as well. It's a disgracefatguy2k1 wrote: ↑Thu Mar 08, 2018 12:15 amThanks everyone and congratulations Dick Jones. big times ahead of you.

Tool finally recording their new album, according to Adam Jones' instagram. Savage.
Yeah bit of a joke the hse shuts down at the weekends.
Delighted to have them both home now, house was a bomb site but did a clean up today so it looks kinda normal, just with a lot more baby stuff.
I'm looking forward to hearing that new Tool album when our baby finishes school..
