I'm helping a guy get rid of some things while he's moving house.

I asked him whether I should call over at 6.30 or 7.30 and he replies "perfect".
I then ask if I should meeting him at his Apartment in area X or his house in area Y and he replies with the name of an area that's right in between both.
This.
Try bringing them on holidays.

What's so good about the place? Always hear everybody loves the place but nobody's ever told me why?

Was the daily show any good, you said you got tickets didnt you?

The Daily Show was great. It was almost a 2 hour recording, which they then cut down to 45 minutes or whatever it is on TV. They pretty much run straight through with non breaks then at the end might re-do bits where the audio was off or whatever.

As for what it is that's so good about the place, I think it's just the atmosphere/aura, there's a real buzz around the whole city. And the skyscrapers. Everything is so massive it just kind of sticks with you.

Also spent pretty much a full day in the new World Trade Centre and the 9/11 memorial and museum. I'm always a bit iffy about museums and stuff based around war/death/murder but it was really well done.

Oh and we arrived in the city when Trump was giving his press conference about being peed on. The security around Trump Tower now is incredible.

You have to go through security screening to get into any of the shops on the block of the street the building is on now and there is a constant press presence in a fenced off area across the road.

The 9/11 memorial museum is outstanding. Gives you perspectives that your imagination might not ever have truly grasped. Plus De Niro narrates

So she wants all the EU bits she liked but not that bad stuff she didn't like, cool I'm sure the EU will be very accommodating.

I think the one thing that I'll never truly forget about 9/11 is the people jumping out of the windows from 80/90 storeys up.

It begs the question what forces are in play that are now released. Why wait this long? Essentially.
And why May and not now, and is there a risk in making it May.

Commuting a sentence and a pardon aren't the same thing though, afaik?

People saying it's cruel of Obama to delay his decision until his last days - a "mic drop" moment as people are fond of saying these days - thus holding off on justice for his own purposes.

Isn't it something all US prez do just before they leave office? Like he did the same thing for dozens of other criminals (sic) yesterday. Isn't it a kind of tradition. I imagine it means they don't need to defend their decision. If he did it last year or two years ago or whatever, the fallout would have followed him around for months. This way he does it then he's gone, peace out bitches.

Yeah, if there's no legal backlash then it's cowardly really. Playing with lives like that.
