We signed the other day with our solicitor so pretty much just need to agree the date.

We're buying down Moira/Lurgan direction. 4 bedroom detached for less than the price you'd pay for a 2 bedroom townhouse in Belfast/North Down direction. Needs a few wee bits and pieces done but they're more wants than needs

front is all pebbles thankfully. Back took a fair going over but it's tidy out now! Only thing I'm not happy with is the dirt cheap suite of furniture we bought. Kinda regretting not splashing out on a proper luxury one seeing as ya sit in it so much! But I guess for the price it's hard to argue, it's acceptable comfort wise and the baba is only gonna make shite of it anyway!

I was waiting 5 months from sale agreed till I got the keys to my place, pain in the hole.

Its just a big mess. There was no lawn before, just loads of plants and a pond and all that. Then we had loads of work done before we moved in, big renovation, extension, etc so the place was like a building site. Finally got a patio laid 2 weeks ago, getting a proper landscaper in now in the next week or two to level the garden, add stone, topsoil, etc and then lay sod on top. Can't wait to have it finished.

furniture is so expensive brand new. we've managed to find some real bargains by buying second-hand. the stuff we found is more our kind of style anyway.

we've nearly the whole place kitted out now in fact. made very short work of it in just 2 months, thought it'd take us a lot longer to get the place set-up tbh.

I want to do some fairly big work. There's a sun room, so conservatory with solid roof. I'd like to turn 2 of the walls from glass into proper walls. Stick in a wood burner. Make it more of a proper room.

Think I'll leave it til we're in a while though.

We've been trying to buy furniture and washing machines and fridges and stuff but it's awkward cos we don't have a date to get it delivered yet.

aye you cant do fuck all until you get the date but i personally wouldn't start making big arrangements until you actually have the keys in your hand.

Yeah exactly, it's annoying cos you just want to do stuff.

But sure it takes 4 weeks to get a BT line put in so even when we get keys it'll be a month before we can have internet and BT TV. First world problems!

a month without internet is a serious issue!

i'm not sure how it happened but we had no disruption to our internet at all. it was scheduled to transfer over on a certain date and it transferred across without a hitch.

i think it could well be the only moment in my life where i achieved 100% customer satisfaction. i could barely believe it.

pubs and ipads were the solution

it's a sad state of affairs but i'd do well to last a week without the internet.

i'd be very restless.

It might be fun to try this month with no internet.

I'm more concerned about the lack of TV though. I've grown quite fond of BT Sport of late.
