How's everyone on this usually warm friday afternoon. Sure, it might be warm but it's still bucketing down in Galway. anyway, going to collect my new car tomorrow. excited about that. second hand Nissan Note.

Friday afternoon's canal-side market/music has been progressively gentrified over the years. The music part anyway. Disappointing.
Saw some idiot riding along the back of an u-bahn between stations today. That's a first.

Gonna spend today taking everything in my garden down and putting it into the shed. Looks like tomorrow is going to be wild. Good luck to everyone on the west, looks like you'll get the worst of it.

Our garden fence was blown over to about a 30 degree angle in the winds last winter when they were about 35mph with gusts, they're forecasting 60mph tomorrow with gusts over 80 so I spent the day propping it up with extra supports to try and save it disappearing off down into next door.

Looks like there's going to be some serious damage so hopefully everyone stays safe

Whole country on a red warning. All schools and colleges closed tomorrow. I wouldn't be going to work unless you really have to.

Put some stuff in the shed and pulled out the torches in case the power goes. Creche is closed so the wife's taking the day off. I'm going to see what it's like in the morning before deciding whether to go in or not.

Office here has decided to close at 1, though the met office is now saying it'll likely hit around here at 12 instead of 3.

The sky is a very bizarre colour too.

Interestingly if you scroll round the globe, the strongest winds anywhere on the planet right now are off the south west of Ireland
