Work got in touch about 11 last night to say only to go in if something essential had to be done and you could be gone by lunchtime.
Wife's place did the same but are expecting those that can do to work from home.

Just up at the shop and there's loads of people out walking with their kids and dogs. Weather's actually quite nice at the moment. Warm and just a bit blustery

Yeah I've got my camping battery yoke charged up too. Losing electricity seems very likely, also got plenty of stuff downloaded this morning in case the internet is down for a couple of days.

Garden fence has pretty much given up the ghost and we're only getting the start of it.

Sure I wanted a new fence anyway. Would have preferred to wait til I could afford one though.

Getting away with it in my house so far. Estate just around the corner has no power and a tree has fallen on the road below us but in here it doesn't feel too bad.

Yeah I redid one side during the summer. The old posts were rotten at ground level so I reused the panels but put new posts in with a concrete base. That part hasn't even wobbled today.

Don't know if it was the angle of the house or what but winds never seemed all that strong in the back garden. Went out just before the strongest of it to secure a couple of things but they probably would have been okay anyway.
Were without power from about 2.30 'til 8 but back now.
