I can understand this, tomatoes sweeten up nicely when roasted.

Though I find if they are grilled to the point that the skin blackens you should be grand.

Fried tomoatoes are a disaster. Always woeful.

Button mushrooms have to fried. Larger field mushrooms take well to being grilled with a knob a butter.

My parents eat a grill every day, they're farmers and justify the meal by the fact they've been working for about 3 hours already. They don't eat the equivalent of a full Irish, more like 1 rasher, 1 sausage and lots of butter laden soda bread.

I love being home for breakfast. Couldn't do it everyday myself.

Grilling sausages is way handier too cos you can get a nice browniness on all sides, there's always a manky bit of pink left when you fry 'em

yeah

I can remember getting bags searched in Newfoundland when I was 16, there must have been half a pig worth of processed meats in the bag destined for my sister. I'm not sure customs were impressed but I got away with it anyway.

These days the requests are less volatile, chocolate and spray on deodrant - which they don't seem to do for some reason.

I'd grill rashers but sausages just aren't the same grilled. Need the grease on them
