aye. on the tuesday.

if they decide to cancel that date altogether, it's not the end of the world. I'd try and maybe get 2 for the saturday (that's when all our mates are going) but I'd not lose sleep if we didn't get to go.

the tuesday date really doesn't suit us any more, 2 days off work are needed and we'd know nobody else going.

aye there was loads for sale for ages and I thought we'd have no bother

but now that this has happened, there's fuckers selling tickets for the 3 dates that will definitely go ahead (fri, sat, sun) at ridiculous rates

hopefully they decide in the next day or two what they're going to do because I need to get my house in order

They won't definitely go ahead, Garth Brooks signed a contract for 5 dates!

did the caller just now say

"it's a different calibre of people that goes to these garth brooks concerts, not swedish matches over at phoenix park"

haha

your woman sings trisha yearwood very well but how does she know the name of the song she's singing!

yeah the swedish matches comment got a laugh out of me too :)

and now the fun is over, why couldn't they dedicate the whole show to outraged punters?!

yeah there was only a little bit left as well

perhaps they're well aware that this will spill into tomorrow's show and a whole pile of next weeks too

it is a pretty massive fuck up tbf

This idea that there's gonna be some sort of brilliant crowd at Garth Brooks who'd cause no trouble is a baffling one.

I've seen the type of people who've bought tickets to these concerts.

I was just saying this to my work colleagues there, can see a lot of trouble. Similar to what ive seen at slane in previous years

80k pissed up culchies up to dublin for the day

recipe for disaster

yeah its not fair to generalise too much....I'm a culchie and there are some lovely ones....but I'd have a fair idea of the kind of head-the-balls who'd have bought tickets

I'd say it'd not be so much that there'd be fighting, more likely just that they'd be annoying drunk wankers who'd be in everyone's face and annoying people

which, I suppose, yes could result in a punch up or two....but nothing like swedish matches over at phoenix park

Load of older folk who rarely go on the tear anymore and cant handle themselves anymore. Like all those aggro pricks that show up in town around christmas and then aren't allowed out for another year.

I doubt there would be much trouble at all.
