Don't know what put it into my head but was only thinking the other day about how around the time of the IMF coming in Emmo was telling everybody to move their money out of irish banks and into sterling. Wonder how he fared with Brexit.

haha I remember that well

I'm moving over on sunday. moved money using currencyfair in October, to lock-in the rates in case May got her shit together. Only about 100e worse so it was a fair price to pay for security of a good rate.

Going to leave my pension here.

guy i worked with over here moved to ireland around 4 years ago and moved his savings with him. lost a fortune on the usd to euro conversion compared to leaving it out here for that time

everyone in work is pumping money into crypto. this must be what a bubble feels like
