Hey Phier. I'm going to Berlin for a weekend next summer. Probably around August/September. Is there any particular weekend I should go that would be good for festivals etc?

I just use public torrents behind a VPN so I have some semblance of annoymity. I don't download nearly enough to make trying to access a private site worthwhile.

My housemate in France got a letter threatening a €1500 fine after I downloaded foals' album over there.

A mate in Ireland got a letter for downloading one Kings of Leon song. He was mortified that this would go on record in court

Public torrents. I know better, but was bored and lazy.
I use public torrents for TV all the time. Really need to sort myself out and source an invite to BTN. If I get in and get an invite I'll send it your way.
I had one and didn't bother using it. Should be easy enough if you've a good rep on what.cd.
eric the beard wrote:regarding the phier fine. how do you get notified phier? how do they catch you, is basically what i'd like to know. I'm clueless about all that (but don't download anyway, so don't really need to know).
Letter from a lawyer, on behalf of 20th Century Fox.
You're safer in Ireland but everyone should VPN-up really.
After not having my own laptop/computer for 5 years I've lost access to all my previous private torrent sites.

If anyone can pass me on an invite to anything I would be very grateful.

I always buy new pairs of really thick socks every time I go on holiday so my feet aren't wrecked from walking. Also, bonus new sock feel every day of your holiday! Result!

I have one invite for a private tracker that does films. It requires a bit of keeping up of ratio but its a great site, has most everything you'd ever want movie wise in a variety of formats. It also has each movies IMDB, Rotten Tomatoes and Metacritics scores as well as the site userbase score for each film which is really handy.

I've seen a few photos of me lately where the back of my head seems to be showing signs of thinning hair. Now, my da is 63 or so and has a full head of hair. But both my grandads were bald.

Should I bow to the inevitable and just shave it all off now

I think hair thickness or baldness is inherited from the mothers side of the family.
if her dad was bald, there's a chance you could be too!!

Talk to your barber first. He might be able to cut it another way which covers up the bald part. Not a combover
My mate done this and it bought him around 3 years on having to go full baldy.

I will never go bald. I've the thickest hair in the world. I am however going grey and its happening quickly.

My Mam's Da had a full head of hair and all three of us kids are bald so I'd doubt the veracity of that mooch!

I actually have quite thick hair when I grow it, but due to laziness for the last lot of years I've used the 1/2/3 blades and shaved it. Maybe that shows it up more and I should grow it long.

A mullet.
