Still haven't started the new series and I'm in no rush to. I just find it slow with too many characters packed in.

I felt that about the wire but that feeling wore off quite quick whereas game of thrones has more and more new characters and not much plot to warrant them.

it seems to be one of those shows that everyone just assumes that everyone else is watching

the sheer casualness of how people blurt out spoilers is staggering

my mate was looking at some random youtube clip on how to fix his washing machine and in the comments section someone had posted, in caps, probably 2 of the big book spoilers there is. He was pissed off about it, and then I pissed him off about something else so he tried to spoil the show on me by telling me the spoilers, not knowing I read the books. So I told him 2 huge spoilers from the latest book to completely ruin it on him the prick

I bought "A Clash of Kings" in the Twin Towers book store on Sept 11 2000. Couldn't get it in Ireland at the time.

It should be obvious that a massive spoiler lurks below but just in case anyone clicks by accident:
When South Park spoiled Joffrey getting poisoned I asked if they actually did. You wrote "well, if you call poisoned getting mauled by wolves" or something. So I went into this season thinking he was gonna get ate and that you were a spoiling prick!
