that's the same festival phone I've been using for ages!

I needed to charge my smart phone at glasto because I needed it for the camera

forgot to buy a sodding disposable before arriving and there wasn't one to buy in the entire festival

we found a couple of tents in the green futures fields doing phone charging for a fiver, no queues and you just came back to collect it whenever you wanted up to 10pm. Very handy and made us laugh even harder at the massive queues at the official charging tents

I would have gladly paid a fiver. I hadn't heard anything about that.

tbh I probably wouldn't have to have bought so much wine from the fella in the van but I just felt so cheeky for continually asking him each day if I could charge it again

there was just no fucking way I was standing in those tent charger queues

The queues for those EE tents were mental. Looked like hours to get in before you even start charging your phone.

I had my own battery charger. Used my phone for the entire weekend without worrying.

Camping up around the tipis would have suited me down the ground. Plenty of nice areas to chill out near the stone circle and sign. I'd be raging about those showers though having spent the extra $'

I walked past one of the charging tents during the monsoon on the saturday and the people in that queue genuinely were the most miserable looking bunch I've ever seen, poor saps.

Can people not last a weekend with no phone anymore? I bring an old shitty phone to festivals in case of meetup emergencies.

I used the EE tent on the thursday. it was grand, just waltzed on in, charged my phone for an hour and chatted shite to a few people while I waited.

so I had 95% battery on friday morning when I woke up.

switched on spotify, pressed a song, 10 seconds into the song the entire 95% drained down to 0%!

the camera mate

it was the only reason I was remotely bothered. we had absolutely no other means of taking photos and we were on our honeymoon

most people I spoke to said that it was only for the camera that they needed the phone, but I suspect there's plenty who'd struggle without social media and the like too

I always take ridiculously bad photos at gigs whenever I do bother

its embarrassing looking at them the next morning, they look like a blind person has taken them

I took a few at deltron 3030 cause I was in the front row but there's plenty to be taking pictures of apart from bands.

Did you guys see any of the post apocalyptic crew that were doing the rounds on Sunday? They were freaking a lot of people out.

Aye, that's where I saw them. We were obviously in the same area at the same time. That was just after I did my stint in the cabaret tent.
