Finished Altered Carbon over the weekend. I enjoyed it. Not the most amazing show in the world but visually it was great and the story was decent enough. Wasn't paying attention in the first 2 or 3 episodes so some stuff didnt make sense later on the season without reading up on it.

the walking dead

its just so terrible, i don’t know what else to say about it anymore ......

i will say this though, the guy who reviews TWD for AVClub wrote in his review last night:
“I’m not really sure what else to say at this point. Which is why this will be my last review of The Walking Dead. After six and a half years, I’ve said just about all I can say about the show, and it’s (probably long) past time for me to move on”

I haven't watched this weeks. I found it better letting them build up and then marathoning a load of them than watching week to week.

there was two cool bits this week in the walking dead -
that zombie at the start getting its face ripped off with the deadbolt and the mass of zombies at the trash pile getting turned into pulp.

glad to see the trash people gone. they added little to the whole world.

I fell asleep during one of the later episodes, I'm totally confused now. Looks beautiful.

Detectorists Season 3 - more of the same, lovely show.

Motherland - expected it to be better, Diane Morgan is the best thing in it. I love her.

GBBO Stand Up To Cancer
Had heard about the ending before I watched it, what an emotional sucker punch.

I've yet to decide if i wanna watch season 2.

Legion is a headmelt as well. I loved it by the end of Season 1. I can't tell if that will last.

I've watched 2 episodes of season 2 of Legion and I'm loving it. Its been easy enough to follow despite still being off the wall. Need to be in the right head space for it though.

Anyone watch The Sinner on Netflix? Jessica Biel is the main star. She murders a perfect stranger on a beach and they're trying to figure out what caused her to go mad. (That happens in 1st few mins and is in the byline of the show so didnt spoil anything). Kind of like a reverse whodunnit. Watched all 8 episodes over the weekend, I thought it was very good. Some great acting in it from Bill Pullman, herself and the guy who plays her husband
halfway through this at the moment. really good acting - slow moving but just the right amount for the feel of the show
Binged The Sinner over the weekend. Was alright. Gets you interested very early, but really is quite silly at so many points.

Biel was great, but Bill Pullman's acting is the worst acting I've seen in years. Felt like i was watching a bad Columbo impression.

Started Manhunt: Unabomber. It's been pretty good. Similar to Mindhunter, ie FBI running an unorthodox method to understand/catch a criminal, obv being a famous one this time.

Might try Waco next, might as well pile on with the FBI stuff

I found a bit too much (daft) at times, you really have to throw all your cynicism completely out the window to fully enjoy it, But yeah, it's differenet and had some great moments, I'd recommend.

finished 13 reasons why season 2

meh, it’s okay, it’s kinda gone the way of a run of the mill angsty teen drama show now.

fucking hell though, that scene in the last episode left me feeling very shook & very sick to my stomach
like my body just tensed up to the point of nausea. horrible stuff
