I loved Girls and I like Tiny Furniture but Lena Dunham is just the epitome of privilege. Love her work but can't stand her.

Did I already recommend The Crown here lads. Just finished s1 over the weekend. The kind of thing most people would probably instinctively steer clear of, a costume drama about young Queen Elizabeth, Prince Philip, Churchill etc.

Sounds pretty stuffy, but I cannot recommend it highly enough. Acting, writing, cinematography and music are all absolutley on point.

Can't wait for season 2 in november already.

Yes you did, I watched it earlier this year. I enjoyed it, didnt think I would considering the subject matter and I normally hate period dramas

Funny story, lad I worked with thought that period dramas were the kind of shows/movies that girls watched when they were on their period. He mentioned this in work one day in front of 5 or 6 peoples, one of the older women had to explain to him what they were really, and that it had nothing to do with women. I've never seen anyone as embarassed in my life

Great British Bake Off is back and it's as good as before.

they successfully moved it to channel 4. they changed 3 of the 4 core people, included noel fielding & it has ad breaks but it works! hurrah!

plus noel managed to say moist clutch on telly

Same as on the BBC. We recorded it and fast forwarded through the ads. The solider and the other young woman are my picks so far.

I really liked The Crown. It's far better than Victoria anyway as Royal dramas go. It's really boring

I'm in the minority but I'm just so, so glad to see the back of Mel and Sue

The wife only watched the last season of bake off and I used to only kinda half watch it but what I did see of it I found Mel and Sue very annoying too.

no, the soldier is the woman. The guy who won star baker, bit of a lisp, will do good too.

I agree about her facial expressions. funny stuff.

Apparently Noel is a genuine fan of the show so I wouldn't have thought he was going to play up his Vince Noir schtick in the end. His narration voice is also lovely

The only one I've yet to warm to is Pru

Find it funny when shows have parallels. Like Veep and House of Cards having similar ways into presidency and election issues.

But now start of Bojack season 4 and You're the Worst season 4 both kinda similar, and released within a week of each other

Haven't got to the new Bojack yet but thought the first episode/s of You're the Worst was great.
