I had a shot of the Sky Q machine in my oul pair's the other night. The UI is excellent, really fast + intuitive menu system. It makes the Virgin one look even worse than it already is.

Movies On Demand is RIDICULOUS.

I like Maeve Higgins. Saw her at the Iveagh gardens gig a few months ago and I was impressed by the fact that she had a decent amount of material based on news and showbizzy stuff from that past couple of days. Which was also funny.

A lot of comics lean on the same jokes for months and months, years even.
Maeve Higgins is hardly new though.

Your ones bit above is hacky as fuck at this stage. Take a song really literally and talk shite about it. Hasn't been funny since Ed Byrne did Ironic.

Yeah, we're getting Q in in a few weeks, just running the old fashioned Sky Box from last time at the minute til they can get someone out to do the install. It looks very, very intriguing.

We have Sky Sports as well but I actually think I might regret that as I think BT Sport has better selections of sport that I personally watch so might have to take it out as well. (We had BT Internet previously so BT Sport was free with it)

Netflix sent out a very clever promo email for Punisher.

Anyone have an Android Tv?

I got one a few months ago off a website that came preloaded with Kodi etc. Was underwhelmed with Kodi as it seemed really slow so only used it sparingly. But at the weekend I wiped it and reinstalled it without all the preloaded addons in Kodi. Just readded Covenant and did a bit of setting up on some other sites to get extra sources in HD into it. The difference is unreal. Takes around 30 seconds to load a show now, and even that is only to allow choosing a source. Once the source is picked it takes a few seconds to load the episode. Using trakt.tv to manage my shows so I dont even have to search in Covenant for stuff
Just installed this last night, looks pretty impressive alright user interface isn't the best for browsing but I'll take a look at that trakt.tv later and see what it looks like then.

Just realised Nancy (Bill’s wife) in Mindhunters is Rachel from The Office (the girl Tim gets with in season 2)

blacklist mid-season finale
so tom keane is dead

his spin off series was a flop, they obviously had nowhere else for his character to go & nothing more for him to do
poor tom keane

that disturbed version of "sound of silence" is terrible

House of Cards coming back without Spacey for final season. Wonder how they'll write him out.
Maybe Tom Hammerschmidt will push him in front of a train.

Anyone started Dark on Netflix?

watched first 2 episodes last night. German show, similar premise to Stranger Things, but centred around Time not being Linear. It's more adult than Stranger Things though. Looks decent so far

Same. 2 eps in, and really enjoying it too.

Also started into Mars. Very good. How long has that been sitting on Netflix? Only spotted it last week but its a 2016 show.

Have been catching the Band of Brothers repeats here and there on Sky, seen it a zillion times but it's always great.

Thinking about watching The Pacific now, which I recall was not nearly as good and extremely grim.

Would I be wasting my time or is it due a reappraisal?

I think I’ve watched BoB about 8 times now. Was watching it about once a year.

Never watched the Pacific. Watched the 1st episode one day and just knew I wouldn’t like the characters as much. I probably should give it a lash someday
