So the USS Discovery is basically the Heart of Gold from Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy. Except instead of solid gold, it's powered by a misunderstood psychic space monster.

They did subtly acknowledge the similarity though; some random off-screen character the computer called out was Lt. Zaphod.

A friend of min recently said it best "Seriously though, the Orville is more Star Trek than the new Star Trek".

Star Trek Discovery
Double F bomb!

Gay couple!
I'm going to have to watch the Orville aren't I. I pray I don't like it. Fucking Seth McFarlane makes my skin crawl. I actively hate him.

GBBO
Two terrible decisions by the judges
Stacy "i left paper in my cake!" should never get star baker and so disappointed that Liam was sent home.

i seriously thought it was him, stephen & army bird in the final

every week the one i'm rooting for is sent home. who is left to like?? WHO??!!

I don't get how you can criticise the judges on a show like that. On X-Factor or Strictly you can hear or see the quality of the performance but on Bake Off you can't taste it. How do you judge?

gah, so disappointed that Liam is gone. he was great craic. The scouse girl should have been well gone this week. she made a mess the last few weeks while Liam has been there or there abouts for the last number of weeks.

i'm all in on Sophie now. Stephen is just so blood smug that i don't want him to win. Stacey and Scouse shouldn't have made it this far, so it would be a transitivity if either of those won.

well there's a technical round where they're graded, plus previous weeks performance

PLUS, kate should have gone home this week as she baked a dried out 60 egg cake and dropped her undercooked pastie on the floor

Went to watch first episode of new Mr Robot season. Realised in the recap that I was either drunk or asleep because I didnt remember anything about the end of last season. So decided to watch the last 3 episodes of that, didnt mind at all. Definitely forgot the last episode of season 2 though.

Enjoying the new season
Love what they're doing with Mr Robot himself

I didnt think you were allowed show an erect penis on telly. Or is it because it's HBO?

Also never thought I'd see Maggie Gylenhall do scenes like that

The Trip to Spain is vg but as always, the episodes where there are other people at the table with them are excruciating.

Is that some Winterbottom thing I wonder. Are they supposed to be excruciating.

she was quiet a bit dirty in Secretary back in the day. movie where she's in a S&M relationship with her boss.
