Eric and Rusty are correct.

I dropped it after season 1, as its shite like you said. Just wondering will it be needed to understand the Marvel Universe a bit more for the future films?

the shield is one of my favourites too but I'd be hard pressed to pick between the seasons.

to be honest my memory of it has faded terribly and i'm sketchy about a lot of the minor details now. i can just about remember the major stuff.

i expect it would hold up well on second viewing because the performances are so good.

same with BWE, it's one of my favourite shows but I'm fucked if i can remember much from the first season nowadays and i only watched it about 4 years ago.

The pace of TWD seems to have picked up this season.

For instance
The Termites are gone already, in the past that would have taken until Christmas.

Everyone recommended I watch the shield in this thread a while back. I didn't even finish the first episode. Felt like a show that hasn't aged well

yeah it's a good point, i was thinking that the other night.

the termites were so hateable though that i probably wouldn't have minded a bit of back and forth between the two groups for a few more episodes.
by the way, do you know if this season is split in two again?

WEll the governor was great for a while but they tore the arse out of that so I'd rather they came in, were evil and got killed. Plus we've this other shower of mad shits now that has Beth and they look evil and less like they worked in Google before the fall, proper hard cases.
Yeah it'll be split in 2. I'm assuming 8 before Xmas and 8 after.

There should be more orchestras that tour tv and film themes.

I seen London Symphony Orchestra doing John Williams last year and they were great when they were doing Jaws or Star Wars or whatever, but some 15 minute long piece from a random chase scene from Indiana Jones just wont cut it. Give me the hits!

I signed up to Amazon Instant Video for a free trial. It's fairly disappointing.

not until after their contracts with sky (and to a lesser extent everyone else) expire

and they could easily continue to just carry on with them

boardwalk.
watched season 6 up to the end over the last few weeks. i thought i had lost interest but having started it again i can't remember why i left it so long to watch.

so... was that the ending or had it been cancelled?

the last season was as good as any for me, the flashbacks were great and you could have gotten a whole series out of them on their own. young enoch was incredible.

my housemate came in last night when i was watching the scene where nucky gave the kid a grand in the club, my housemate asks if thats jimmys kid (he has only seen upto around season 4), i said no but it does look a lot like him. and the more i thought about it the more he acted like him.

buscemi was way better in it this season too i thought.

wrapped up and done well.

RIP BWE
