Spotify

The main forum where you can talk about the festival - from the line-ups to camping advice and everything in between. Also forum for generally chatting and talking about things.
Do you use it?

I use it every day, I find it really handy for work and when i'm on the move.

I was talking to some big music neeerds the other night and they were big against. There's not enough smaller bands on it etc and were pretty negative about it overall.

Anyone still using their iPod?

Yup, I use it.

On the whole, I've calmed down in appetite for music, I'm not buying records like I used to before.

Spotify scratches the itch for new music and it's really convenient to have on the move.

I'd say I listen to more Podcasts than music these days.

I'm almost exactly the same.

And I find when I do discover some new music, its usually not new but something I missed from the 90s or 00s. I used to be with it, but then they changed what ‘it’ was, and now what I’m with isn’t it. And what’s ‘it’ seems weird and scary to me.

Yeah me too.
I went and bought a 128GB card for the phone and put everything on it and then a few months later I changed my phone contract to one that includes 2 years of spotify with it so that defeated the purpose of that. I mostly use it in work as background music though so I find it better not to have new music on as it's too distracting.

When I had to get a new phone, if I couldn't get one with memory, I was gonna get Spotify. But got a 64gb

I do feel I miss out on it for before festivals, to find new bands easy enough or use decent playlists

Just signed up to a premium family acc. €30 for a year.
I see soundcloud are paying (some) DJs for mixes now.
I miss what.cd.

Let me know how that works out.
Would you be streaming from the same ip at all?
I've a few spots on my family account I could dole out if they don't police it too hard.

Will do but i doubt that matters since it's open to multiple devices.
The only validation required is an address.

I use Google's alternative, but think it's great!

for smaller, Irish artists, I do still buy their stuff separately to properly support them
