Weak, DJ.

I was sure he had your man at the end. A metre more and he'd have nipped in for the bronze.

Gutting for the Puerto Rican lad. What are the rules on false starts? I thought you got a warning before getting the boot?

Story from police conference happening right now:

Bentz and Conger have given stories to police that contradict Lochte. Incident at police station where "drunk and threatening behaviour" from 2 swimmers caused damage to a door, which they offered to pay 100 reals to fix (25 euro). Locate was themes drunk. Swimmers had 2 women with them and didn't want GFs back home to find out. So invented the mugging story.

Locate has told his mother that they were held up, who posted on social media. Then he just kept digging himself deeper

Seems like they were lying initially because they were out with girls (and all have partners).

Ryan Lochte is one smart cookie

That was the very first thing that seemed odd to me about the whole thing at the start of the week.

Tim Vickery tweeted about it, and said that when he got mugged in Rio about 20 years ago, the LAST thing he would have done was tell his mother what happened. I thought, yeah, he's got a point.

Some drama in the mens 50k. The leader has shat himself, continued on, then later collapsed out on the ground, and has now got up and is going again. Mad bastard.

The speed those guys "walk" the 50km is mental......often quicker than a 3 hour marathon time.

I'd say it hurts much more to "walk" a marathon in that time than it is to run it. Looks absolute agony

How the fuck do they go so fast? My best time jogging a 5k is about 24 minutes, for yer man Diniz to have set the world record he'd have had to average 21 minutes per 5k.

Great that Brazil won the gold in the football. Well deserved. Neymar was superb.

Not sure what to make of all this.

Therapeutic use exemption...is that like a stoner in California going to his GP wearing a neck brace in order to get a year's marijuana prescription and the doc's like...yes bruh, I got you covered.

It sounds dodgy as fuck to me. Russian = cheat, American = therapeutic exemption.
