Apparently there's a fantasy draft league included in the game

I'd happily play a money game of that?

Same here. Draft sounds interesting.

I don't mind collecting this year.

can put a lot less effort in for the season with the draft.

And even if the draft is a "do it at a scheduled time", won't be as tough to make a 100+ player list if you're not there, like an NFL one would.

Curious if there's a limit of players from each team in the draft game

whats the draft league, how does it work?

is it a case of there only being one player per team? So if someone drafted Lukaku he's not available to everyone?

Won't know fully until it's released next week. There's a piece on FFscout, but I've no access in work to link it

Yes to your question

Can have 2-16 teams in a draft league. Can choose between counting everyone's scores and doing head to head. (I'd prefer traditional scores). It's free to play. No budget. Draft Order would be in a ABBAABBA order (expanded with more than 2 players). Uses the regular scores from the usual game. 15 players in a squad, probably limited to the same positions

Not too much more details than that. No idea how trading, and applying for unpicked players would work

First things first, it’s important to stress that the new FPL draft game will be free to play and run alongside the “traditional” game as an addition to our season.

The game will allow for the formation of leagues with between 2-16 members. Within those leagues, teams will consist of the usual 15-man squads but, of course, the squads will be unique. So only one team in each league can own Harry Kane.

Like the traditional FPL game, leagues can run in the classic form or in the head-to-head format. We can set up leagues or put ourselves in public leagues with “strangers”. If you really want to, you can enter up to ten leagues over the season.

Details on how the draft will work are yet to be released but it is stated that no budget will be in place. Therefore the draft will take place without player prices, operating a similar “snake” draft system that we’ve seen in other games such as Dugout FC, with players “taking it in turns” to select players until a squad is complete.

The game will use the exact same scoring rules as FPL, with bonus points applying.

yeah, that's the 'snake' draft system they're talking about

and Dara, you'd pick your team at the start of the season, and have to select which 11 play each, but transfers would likely be either trades or offloading a player to pick an unused player. although not sure how it'd work if two+ people wanted the same unwanted player. In NFL, they have a waiver system, where I think the lowest rank team get the priority

Probably a lot less work, since you can't suddenly decide you need Hazard cause you can't get him off someone else easily

The way most work is with Waivers. Usually the team in last gets preference on a transfer. The transfers will open on say Tuesday. Then if two people have both tried to sign the same person the one with the highest preference gets them. But once you sign a player your team becomes the one with the lowest prefernce

over what period of time does the draft take place? how long do you have to pick your player once its your turn? Or can the league administrator set those settings

Not sure, but some leagues you can set up a "draft board" (i.e. players in order of preference); if the time limit is an hour for a pick, and you don't make your pick, it'll take the highest player available on your draft board.

16 teams seems to be the max for some reason, so i might start a new thread for 17/18 and add names to a list as we go.
Seems to be a bit of renewed interest, so maybe it'll fill up quick.

The one I did last year you only had a few minutes to pick. If you didnt then the computer would pick the highest rated player not selected as long as you can still take a player in that position

Assume they'll just be added to pool for waiver transfers.
