That looks like a decent spot, would never have thought of looking for accomodation there.

My mates have been up north on the train before, was thinking about it myself. Have to visit Montjuïc this time so might not have time.

Can't believe that in two weeks I'll be there. Nuts.

BadTurtle wrote:Actually, good point. Mr K etc, what are the various stages like? Are most easy enough to get to or would there usually be bit queues for half decent bands?
Stages are easily accessible in relation to each other, bar the two main stages ( Heineken stage and... I'll have to check.) which are a bit of a walk from the rest of them. There wasn't an issue with queuing last year but I suspect it could get mobbed for the likes of LCD and Radiohead. There's a VIP system this year which allows VIP ticket holders to get up the front but I've no idea how that'll impact things.

Going to check out A.R. Kane today. I've always read about them being precursors to Disco Inferno but have never checked them out. Hopefully they're good.

Couple of people I've checked out so far that I've enjoyed: Algiers, Beak>, Cass McCombs.
AR Kane clashing with Air and Kamasi Washington for what is presumably their main set so will try for the early one on Saturday.

It's that early set on Saturday I'll be going to so.

Not missing Air but I've ruled out Kamasi as he's in the Auditori, as I've already mentioned, so there'll be queues and it's indoors too. Only went in there once last year on the first day and never went back in after that.

Aye, he's playing heaps of times. Haven't even listened to him yet.

Oh yeah, agreed on that. Missed Hookworms last year as they were on at 04:00. You'd need an appetite like Phier's to be that long.

Left Suede off my draft timetable. It's still a bit ambitious...

Radiohead bore me silly these days. Didn't like either of the two new tracks and I didn't bother seeking out the album. I'd much rather see Tortoise.

yeah and there wont be any mud as it's all on concrete

you'll be suprised at how long you last. Was there till 5am one of the nights last year. It's just a bit of a nightmare trying to get a taxi if you're leaving the same time as everyone else and you're not close to festival for accom

You'll probably get up the front anyway.

Staying within walking distance anyway thankfully!

A shower here and there wont bother me, but I really need a nice warm break
