Unfortunately Mikkeller's opening had to be postponed, so a neighbouring bar is doing a tap takeover with the first 700 instead of 300 free

I'd get on that Hill Farmstead Arthur easy if I was going to that. Could sell out quick.

Nice, i hadn't given it a proper look over.
Had the Vanilla Shake when they were giving out free ones to a big mob spilled out on the street. Heavy, beautiful stuff.
Definitely going to try the Bourbon version, and a sour.
Should be nicer sitting down with no sense or urgency.

Do you get a full glass at these events you usually? I was looking at Beavertowns festival coming up in the summer and the line up of breweries is amazing but the servings are tiny, sounds like more hassle than fun.

Depends on the beer. 0.2 for strong stuff, 0.3 for regular. Maybe 0.1 for strong stuff at a festival if it's something barrel aged or rare.

Seems to be the way a lot do it. At least they're staggered. Some just do the small size(s). I really hope the Irish festivals don't go that way. I'd like a combo system. Full pints or halfs for normal stuff and then small sizes for the 10%s.

Ah i was still thinking 0.3 for up to about 7%. Sure ~5% and it should be 0.5.
If the selection is decent you'll be thankful for 0.3s.

New England IPAs seem to be all the rage at the moment, super fruity yet sessionable, I'm a fan.

I've yet to have one I really liked, including one I made. I'm still open to trying to find a good one but I'm not on the hype train at all.

Buddelship brewery is really hard to find. Had to give up, too risky. I've a lift home in 90 minutes and the driver doesn't speak English. Next time

Dog F. Chili and cognac i think. 17.5%, possibly the highest I've gone. Too early into the class to comment.
