Does anyone know if the order in advance off licence will be running again this year?

Don't fancy lugging a load of beer down if I don't have to!

Just scanned the site and this is the only bit I could find.
Heineken Cold Rooms (Beer Chilling Facility)

The Heineken Cold Rooms will be located in the Jimi Hendrix Campsite where you can chill your Heineken cans only. The Cold Rooms will be operational from 12pm – 12am each day
Maybe after this coming weekend they'll start taking orders for trays for collection? Don't see why they wouldn't like.

Hmmm wonder if I could come up with a way to hide decent beer in Heineken cans.

The trays were like €48 to order in the past. Is that worth it?

Worth it for a nicely chilled, cool, refreshing can of suds while everyone arounds you forces down lukewarm, flat Lowensteins with muck on the ring pull?

worth it if you're willing to spend it.

I've seen people on here and boards get really annoyed about people paying for this. I wouldn't pay it but I do hate the trek in with all your shit so I can completely see why some people would pay that amount to avoid that and have chilled beers available. You only have to look at the price of some of the boutique camping options to see that there's people with money to splurge so why not.

€2 a can isn't that bad is it? I'd consider it if they had a better selection of beer.

It is if you're used to the discounts slabs of lager afford.

Yeah well I'll be spending way more than that on smaller cans so it seems cheap to me.

Just checked there and the EP Off Licence is open http://www.electricpicnic.ie/news/onlin ... e-now-open

€50 for 24 cans of Heineken.

Checked Tesco.ie and they are charging €40.

By the way, a tray of beer is about 12.35kg. How much would you pay someone to carry your beer from your house??

I think a €10 mark up is fair enough, dragging the shit in from the car is a pain in the hoop and you get your chilled cans every morning. If I didn't have the camper (and drank beer) I'd consider it.

Are you able to leave them there? Like buy a tray, and take them in 6s or 4s or whatever? Because if you can do that, it's WELL worth it.

Ice cold cans on SUNDAY? Come on.

Well there's an option to buy packs of 8 and it also says you can come to the off licence after 12 each day, so I assume if you do ti that way you'll have chilled beer each morning. Never used so I don't really know tbh

Heineken are offering a free service to chill your cans (only Heineken though)

"The Heineken Cold Rooms will be located in the Jimi Hendrix Campsite where you can chill your Heineken cans only. The Cold Rooms will be operational from 12pm – 12am each day."
