Pretty much agree with Dick Jones's assessment too. I had an amazing weekend. Weirdly, I never found the extra capacity all that noticeable! We had a caravan and a tent. Made things very handy for breakfast and lunch etc. Blur, Battles and Django Django were all class. As were quite a few others that I can't remember. Still absolutely shattered from the weekend. Best birthday I've ever had, and it was one of my favourite EP's of the 8 I've attended so far.

They weren't even the best Irish band at the festival. Fuck off Bob

Maybe he meant they're the worst Irish band of all time. I would give him a vote on that count.
Imagine him thinking he has even a modicum of the talent of Villagers or Jape, let alone Thin Lizzy.

He hasn't a note in his head and that alone would make you want to rule them out

Was wondering that too. They can hardly sell them for full price...it would have to be for the full early bird discount otherwise nobody would buy one would they?

Been very coy the past few days on the EP facebook, will find out tomorrow I guess.

They're on sale tomorrow but no discount code e-mails yet. Seems like they mightn't be doing it.

Was just talking to a guy from work who was playing in the My lovely horse ranch on Sunday. They plan to double the size of it next year and put in a proper stage

We were in there Sunday and the girl singing was so bad you had to laugh.

She would intro every song by saying...I don't really know the chords to this and I always forget the words so bear with me...ok this next song is really hard to play so i'll probably mess it up...this next song isn't finished so it's kind of half a song but I'll do it anyway, so if it's rubbish or I stop halfway through, that's why.

You have to own that shit love.

The dogs were brilliant though.

- 'boking' on the first night
- getting stung in the face by a wasp
- sleeping on the bank card
- Sean Sheil grooving
- getting chased by a security guard
- 'The Dub Dr and MC Rungus from Galway'
- reference to legendary hip-hop artist 'Naas' playing Life Festival last year

Review delivers

that place was class - fun animals and cocktails that were cheap but had alcohol in them

saw joe rooney there one afternoon - it really seemed like he was asked to play it that morning. he wasn't on the timetable or that.

Nope, I've emailed picnicoffer@festivalrepublic.com twice as well and they haven't responded.
