Having a "I didn't buy enough booze" panic was going to head down early but now thinking of doing a booze run early in the morning, damn not opening to 10:30 off licenses.

How much is not enough? Ive 16 cans and a litre of whiskey, going home Sunday night and working Monday morning so Sunday will be a few cans to take the edge off kind of day.

Bottle of Whiskey, half bottle vodka, half bottle of rum.
I don't drink beer or wine so wont be buying booze in the arena, cans are to heavy to bring down by bus, I might get another half bottle of something for safty.

Just didn't enjoy it! Too many scummy muscle men with caps on backwards wrestling each other during the bands. Too many people in general, took ages to go anywhere or get anything. It was almost impossible to get into some places in body and soul etc! The vibe is just totally different to what it used to be. It was such a young crowd this year. It's definitely just oxygen jr now, and that's not me being a grumpy old bastard!
Sound was pretty shit for the most part. E6.20 for a pint. What an awkward number like, they wer asking people who gave them 6.50 "do you want the change?" You're right I do ya Robbin bastards. It was fuckin Baltic at night to the point where I was laying shivering even with a sleeping bag and quilt.
On the plus side the weather was perfect during the day and there was a couple of musical highlights. Hot Chip were amazing

I'm sitting in the camper a bit wrecked but still had a great weekend. Didn't really notice the extra people while moving about. Definitely a younger crowd, especially on Sunday seemed to be an awful lot of younger teens.
Think bitch falco were the musical highlight. Best craic was caravanoke.
Have To Pack Up Now.

That's what? £4.50. That's only about 60p more than you'd pay in Belfast these days. Less than at concerts here.

Great weekend. Lovely weather, enjoyed almost every band I saw and no hassle from the many many meat heads wandering around. It was too busy though and there is definitely less of a relaxed, calm vibe there now but I wouldn't go so far as to say it's oxegen Jr, that was longitude this year, no question.
In terms of bands, Manics probably impressed me the most, just a really brilliant greatest hits. Blur were much improved from Oxegen, Battles were excellent as usual, Yassiin Bey was really good, Hot Chip good craic, Villagers really good, Ho99o9 were really enjoyable, My Morning Jacket were great. Sam Smith was shite and I had to go to Florence instead of Tame Impala because I was leaving straight after and I couldn't afford to get separated from my lift home. She was fine, probably brilliant if you have any interest in her. I could barely keep my eyes open I was so tired. Left the car park around half 12, home by half 3, up for work at 7. Not sure I'd do it again.
