Is he underrated though, I think he's great but he's maybe got himself a bit pigeonholed as a the go to guy for a weird charcter these days

Can you hang a film on him though?

Any film i see him in where he's the lead, i found less enjoyable than they should have been.

Moon, Choke, Confessions of A Dangerous Mind, Seven Psychopaths....

But when he's the support guy he's always great and i've generally enjoyed the films more.

Gentleman Broncos, Hitchhikers Guide, Green Mile, Welcome to Collingwood, Jesse James... even that Charlie's Angels one he was in.

maybe he's just made bad film choices?
choke is a terrible film....seven psychopaths, I don't know why I didn't like this more....maybe it was him?
I thought he was great in moon though

I think Moon is a great film.

In fact, I'll nominate Moon as underrated

Its not underrated, it's won numerous awards and rated brilliantly on rotten tomatoes

Yeah, but Biggy just said it wasn't great!

Yeah, it's probably properly rated. Very good, though.

Again that is not what I said. What I said was, it spent is entire time trying to be like apollo 13.

No, it's a good film, and I did enjoy it, but I love Sci-fi and I can't say I loved Moon. And I'm not entirely sure why, so I was asking, is it a sam rockwell thing?

And now that I've been rumbled, this will be my last post ever.

I dunno, I loved it. Very much a Silent Running vibe to it, which is another film I like a lot.

i too agree rockwell is underrated. i also think he can absolutely carry a film and should be lead more often.

but then i really liked confessions of a dangerous mind. i know it wasn't for everyone.

surprised nobody has mentioned way way back actually. he's great in that.

Me too. Or 4, I can't pick a winner out of that, the wire, Breaking Bad and Six Feet Under.
