Granted eating too much bread is not the best way to live, ditto pasta. But the amount of eejits who are suddenly intolerant is ridiculous. I know coeliac disease is a real and definite thing but I'm just talking about the bandwagon jumpers here.
In Paris at the moment and every where is bread crazy, white bread too. Every restaurant, loads of people heading home, everywhere loads of your typical French stick but very few fat people (bar me). I wanna know what the French are doing? Their foods all so rich, loads of bread, butter, cheese, potato, etc

I read before that that's a lot to do with the fact that we use low fat everything while they use the full fat versions which are actually better for you. They also know when to stop eating when they're full unlike us animals

Yeah you're right sorry mate. I just like my tv shows to have competent acting and half an idea what they're trying to do. Dunno what's wrong with me at all.
When was the last time you had a ride
You're in great form altogether.
This thread clearly needs a proviso that people who don't understand what an opinion is should maybe think twice about using it.

cucumber sandwiches and avocado?
I lived close to school, so walked home. I usually ate a ham and cheese toastie and super noodles, and watched Home and Away.

Chop Chop on North Circular Road is a decent Regular Chinese. My standard for 'decent Chinese' is 'doesn't make you feel like shite after'. Cheap too. And it has a great name

Curry tour of ireland....now there is a idea I can get on board with
Zook wrote:There's a place called China city in ballyfermot and they do the nicest curry sauce I've ever tasted. I'd nearly drink the stuff. I'd love mojo to try it

Their beef curry. Mother of duck.
Its hard to get nice beef curry from a chinese I find. I regularly drink curry sauce.

I could talk about takeaways all day long

I think its fair to say that Chinese restaurants in Ireland are a bastardised western version of chinese food. Real chinese food doesn't taste like that

Anyway...I think we should discuss the phenomenon of the chinese takeaway spice bag which has rose from nowhere to become a staple favourite of the working classes in recent years

Real chinese food is rotten. I resorted to Pizza hut/KFC and western restaurants and I'm usually one to lap up the local cuisine when I travel but most chinese food I had was muck.

There's some really great Thai places in Limerick these days, Aroi being the best, closest I've ever had to the real thing. There's one in Cork for a while now the owner was telling me, so Cork boardies should check it out.
