anyway, I think there is an association for Chinese takeaways in Ireland, and they all have to get their curry sauce from the same supplier
they definitely don't all use the same curry sauce!

there are asian made curry sauces e.g. gold fish, dragon brand etc.

do you think there is some kind of honourable law been chinese takeaways to use the same supplier?

They generally all use the same wholesaler yes. Well, in and around the Dublin area.

Watched one of those food myth type programmes a while ago one of those that tells you taking vitamins and food suplements etc is a con.
They brought a load of people to a restaurant that didn't use MSG but told the volunteers it did so of course some of them started complaining about headaches and the like, they did the reverse (gave them msg but told them they weren't getting any) and there was no complaints.

Apparently it's occurs naturally in loads of fruit, veg and dairy that people eat and never complain about

Well not for a fact, but I have been told by someone who I would consider to have knowledge about it.

I'm not saying that there is no difference between takeaways and what they cook mojo, but there is a bog standard curry sauce that a lot get delivered in 25 kg powdered bags. You can see it getting delivered to loads of them around the city centre

I know you hold curry sauce quite close to your heart, and a connoisseur such as yourself can probably taste the difference from takeaway to takeaway,

yeah, something about the fruit and veg want you to eat more of them so you will eat their seeds and increase their chance of being shat out somewhere else and being able to grow in another area

little do they know we shit into water and flush it into a treatment plant, stupid fruits

All I know is that any time I eat Chinese food I get the sweats and shits. No idea what it actually is but when I googled it MSG was the answer and google is never wrong.

Yeah meant to add I wasn't saying you're mental (you probably are though) as some people are naturally sensitive to it, it's just one of those things like lactose or gluten intolerance that hardly anybody had when I was young but now every second person has.

Remember yer one the nutritionist Gillian McKeith, the absolute con artist more like.

Going on I'm a Celebrity and acting the cunt pretty much killed her TV career didn't it. Don't recall seeing her on anything since then.

Yeah you're right sorry mate. I just like my tv shows to have competent acting and half an idea what they're trying to do. Dunno what's wrong with me at all.

Twin Peaks has been a few different things to me throughout my life, terrified me as a kid when I didn't really understand it, took it a bit too seriously as a stoned student and more recently have been able to enjoy it for the humour.

I'd encourage Badturtle to have another go.

I'm not a fan of Chinese food in Ireland. It's mostly shite.

It's not like I've traveller China extensively and know the cuisine, never been, I know what we get served is soupy muck. I think the shite they serve in Cork in worst than anywhere.

Had some nice Chinese food in Galway once, small portions of tasty ingredients.

Gluten Free Diets.

Granted eating too much bread is not the best way to live, ditto pasta. But the amount of eejits who are suddenly intolerant is ridiculous. I know coeliac disease is a real and definite thing but I'm just talking about the bandwagon jumpers here.

There's a brilliant Chinese in wicklow. Like there 3 or 4 shit ones too but this ones exceptional. I have a theory that most chinese in Ireland are the Asian equivalent of the chipper, so yeah you'll feel a bit fucked if you eat too much of that. But I've had a few chineses that are great which I reckon just do God retaraunt quality versions of the same stuff.

There's a place called China city in ballyfermot and they do the nicest curry sauce I've ever tasted. I'd nearly drink the stuff. I'd love mojo to try it

Their beef curry. Mother of duck.
