Looks like McGregor may have broken his foot, in which case he won't be able to fight until 2017

What the actual fuck is up with Diaz' skull? Does he have an extra layer of fluid around his Brain like Homer Simpson?

If there was no time limit theyd probably still be going

Had that down as a split decision/Diaz win. Thought the takedown at the end of the 5th was enough for him to take it. He landed a he'll of a lot more strikes though they weren't exactly significant. A few of his flurries had nothing behind them.

McGregor showed great heart to get through it. Thought he was done in the 3rd but he rallied extremely well. Unbelievable fight though.

Just watched it. McGregor won 1,2 & 4. Diaz finished strongly in the second but McGregor had dominated most of the round. If one of the judges gave the 3rd as 10-8 to Diaz then the first round could have went the same way for Conor.

Great fight though.

Was it just cockiness and kind of a "nah, I'm really gonna batter you around" attitude to why he didn't go down for the finish when he knocked him on his arse a couple times, or was it tactical that he didn't want to get on the ground with Nate in any circumstances?
I'm thinking the latter but it seemed like he just wanted to punch the head off him a bit more. Nate even said something like "he should have finished me those times" straight after the fight.

Excellent fight though, I did think they would give it to Nate but I was probably swayed by how it ended. Must give it a rewatch now.

Watched it back a 2nd time now, and i'm with billysexcrime. McGregor took, 1,2 & 4. Clean too.

The 4th is the only one of those that is even worth looking at again, but with the best will in the world i can't even call it a drawn round, nevermind give it to Diaz. He got caught with a lot of elbows and clean combinations. He looked exhausted after the effort he tried to put in to finish it at the end of the 3rd.

Great fight though. And alot of the undercard had some great finishes too. That Cowboy finish was fantastic.
Rumbles finish was spectacular too. Wasn't sure whether or not to laugh at Texerira grappling with the ref.

I've yet to re watch it with sober eyes. Have it downloaded so will throw it on later. One of my mates won about 700 quid on various bets last night. Had 30 on garbrandt/johnson first round knockouts the prick. Magny and Lim cost me my accumulator

mcgregor should have followed in the 3rd time he put diaz down. he was seriously wobbling then, and it was before momentum swung. could have put him away in the second round and saved all this

'f*ck leg kicks' he said in the press conference. destroyed him shins

Yup, I thought it was clearly close but clearly McGregors. No way 3 was a 10-8 to Diaz, McGregor landed some good shots on him in that round up until the last few seconds furious flurry.

1,2, and 4 definitely McGregors. Brilliant fight. Brilliant night of fights! Shat all over UFC 200!

Yeah brilliant fight, one to show people who dismiss UFC as mindless violence etc. And Diaz helping Conor up at the bell was a great conclusion.

What a fucking fight. Thought Diaz won it on first viewing but agree with the result having watched it again.

Unreal takedown defence from McGregor. Hard to see anyone at 145 living with him.

Anyone think it could have been stopped at the end of the third? I think it was seconds away but he hung in there.

Doesn't apply to the McGregor fight but one major issue I have with UFC is the number of hits fighters get off after the opponent is out cold / unable to defend themselves. In the time it takes for the ref to stop the fight you could be talking 3 or 4 blows while the guy is unconscious or as good as. I don't care how good the safety record is, there's no way those kind of shots aren't doing long term damage.

I dont see many of the guys at 155 taking the shots that Diaz did and getting back up either. And also the fact that Diaz would've gone up 10-15 pounds after weigh in at least. its easy to forget who he was up against his last 2 fights and the weight class. Watched it again earlier, he was so clinical with his striking in the first 2 rounds. Most fights would have been well finished but not Diaz.

Was watching it with a few lads who were really nervous beforehand. I didnt get it to be honest. You'd swear his career was over if he lost. Had he lost he'd just go back to 145 and smash them up again
