Yeah did 180kg a few weeks ago.

Tore my groin last weekend though and probably will need an operation to sort it so that's all my good work gone!

Bloody hell, fair play

I can't even squat my own bodyweight

Well, I probably could if I was just doing a max 1 rep but I've never really bothered doing that, for anything

I can bench as much as I can squat so I'm focusing on my legs for the next while

I can bench more than I can deadlift or squat, so clearly something is wrong there haha

Shit....I can't bench for shit. I squat or dead lift around my body weight but my bench is 60% of that and I cant complete a full set of reps at that.

I can also only do a handful of chin-up/pull-ups. I don't seem to be improving there much at all

I once got up to 220kg on a squat, but my weight lifting highlight was leg pressing 460kg. I was devastated not to hit the 500 though :(

Did a 10k tonight, my first in about 2.5 years. Couldn't quite get into a rhythm or pace myself. Hit the 5km at about 25.20 or so and was happy but there was a killer hill ayer 7km and I never quite recovered so ended up about 53.40

Happy enough though, decent benchmark to improve from.

Really good time.

Hoping to do under 45 in a 10k tomorrow. Depending on how my knee feels, I've ran maybe twice since berlin half. Quick 5k the other day and knee felt ok.

On a flat enough course and given a few more runs to work on pacing myself I reckon I could go sub 50. Happy enough with that as a bench mark to start from and I was actually feeling in a nice rhythm at the end where I could have gone a while longer which is good seeing as the ultimate plan is probably a marathon

Ran my first sub-100 minute half marathon yesterday. Only 40 seconds better than my last one but massive difference to how I felt about it. Will probably go for the Sydney marathon in September but will have to fit training around rugby training.

Registered for Parkrun so gonna give one of those a lash this Saturday morning see if I can use a weekly organised 5k to work on setting my own pace

Anyone know anything about heart rate levels?

Got a heart rate monitor, arrived today. Took it out on a 4 mile run, and apparently averaged 97% of my max heart rate and hit up to 115% (213 bpm). That doesn't sound good?

Jaysus, I always thought you wanna be keeping it around the 160bpm mark which I usually manage.

I'm no expert though.

I was just worried that maybe that's far too high.... here's the run anyway; http://connect.garmin.com/activity/503507862

I was fairly flat out at the end, I suppose.

Depends what you want out of your run what heart rate you'd want to be sat at, but that does seem high. Pushing it up at the end as you speed up is fair enough of course, but I'd think in the 150s would be better aerobically

It was only my first run ever using it, so I'll not worry too much yet. Will try a 6 mile at (optimistic) marathon pace tomorrow (8:00 mile), see what my heart rate is like for that.
