Definitely gave me the bug to do more mountain biking though. Really fun. Though the uphill bits weren't quite as much fun.

Managed to jog to the top of the fields behind my house in one go for the first time. The grass is quite overgrown and the incline is very steep, so it's a lot harder than doing 5 or 6 laps of a track. Pleased with myself, couldn't do it without stopping at least twice at the start of the month.

It's only on days I couldn't be bothered going in to the gym.
Jogging on grass is better than on concrete or Tarmac though, that can fuck your knees up longterm.

Just did my furthest run there. 6.35km in 31:54. (5:01 per km). Delighted with the time per km on my longest run & the fact i was able to sustain the pace. Think it helped a lot it was mostly on grass.

Big improvement since i quit smoking after 15 years last year, i used to be out of breath running for the bus!

Just went for a run there, it's 33 celsius and I'm surprised to learn only 50% humidity.

Cuntish

Mapped out a 5 km run around the nearby university (I miscalculated - thought it was 4km). Did the first 3 in just under 15 minutes which I'm happy with but couldn't take any more. Had to walk the rest of it home, and any time I regained my breath and gave it a go jogging lightly I'd have to stop, didn't do more than 500m at jogging pace for the rest of it!

I know now how they feel in Brazil. Will be worse when the humidity's worse. If I can manage 5km in 25 minutes over the summer I'll be happy. You just don't get a second wind in this weather

Anyone have any tips to prevent sweating like a cunt after you've showered?
Went to the gym at lunch, and now my light grey shirt is about 70% dark grey.

Don't jump straight in the shower, but have a cool down maybe? Cold shower?

Cold shower is worse. If I have a cold shower I sweat even more after.

The only technique I've ever found is making sure I have a long enough gap after training before I need to get dressed. Or wearing a tshirt under the shirt to try and absorb the excess sweat before it gets to the shirt.

I've no control over the heat and with only 1hour lunch break don't really have too much time to have a gap.
Might give the t-shirt a try. Thanks.
