Gutted to see DC lose like that and how he was afterwards.

Was well setup by Jones though, first head kick he he attempted all night, all previous were at the body. He was working towards that the whole fight. Vicious finish in the end

Stayed up for it but Woodley - Maia sent me to sleep. I almost missed the main event

Sky Sports bagged the mayweather fight.

According to the Mirror it will be €25, which sounds low tbh.

Can't imagine Woodley will be headlining any ppv events any time soon. Another awful spectacle.
Watch 214 last night. Overall, wasn't as bad a card as i'd heard.

Its hard to be critical of Woodley i reckon. Over 20 takedown attempts from Maia, and not 1 of them stuck. He made Maia look completely out of his depth, which is no mean feat. I can't see how he could have gone about it and been entertaining at the same time. Gutta for Maia though. Really wanted him to win that. probably one of my favourite fighters.

Jones v DC was a great fight i thought. Hats off to DC too, much better stand up game than i ever gave him credit for. Against a lad with a huge reach advantage too.

White stated that Woodley and Maia set a record for the least amount of punches thrown in a five-round title fight.

Thats the last 3 of Woodley's fights that have been fucking shite. For someone with such power hes an absolute drainer to watch

Last 2. The 1st fight against Wonderboy was as good a fight as anyone's seen in years.
The rematch was a huge let down, fair enough, but i wouldn't hold last weekend against him too much. If he'd gone down even once, he'd have probably lost his title.

His next fight could be McGregor in December, hard to know how adventurous he'd be there either, but if you gave him a fight against a Robbie Lawler type again, you'd see that explosiveness i'd say.

I think he's too concerned about losing his title more than anything. He has massive power but doesnt try to use it like he did when he was chasing the title

After his fight against Wonderboy and Maia, I wouldnt be too worried about McGregor facing him (in that I dont think its that outlandish that McGregor could win)

It's a pity McGregor isn't fighting Malignalli - the guy has completely lost it.

What was the general reaction to the press tour? I was very impressed by how Floyd handled everything. McGregor was always going to be more entertaining but Mayweather looked like he couldn't give less of a shit about his antics.

Re: Woodley - boring fight but what do people expect him to do tbf? I thought Dana was a right cunt afterwards.

So the big event is almost here.

Should be loads of fun to watch, whatever happens.

I really hope McGregor wins, because it will be fucking hilarious if he does. Just the baddest motherfucker on the planet.

it's also good DC didn't retire after the fight.

95% of the bets are on McGregor, 83% of the money is on Mayweather

Ha! That's fucking mad.
Mayweather is 2/7, also mad.

See Mallinaggi turning up last night? Is he angling for something, or can he just not let it go?
Would people pay to see Mallinaggi fight McGregor? I don't think i'd bother. Mallinaggi was a bit of a muck fighter even in his heyday.

I think this is all just to do with promoting the fight more. Plain and simple. Malinaggi working as an announcer on the fight only fuels that idea in my mind
