Stayed at home and fell asleep around 11 and woke at half one naturally. Thank God for getting old eh? Still though, few bottles now and I'm happy out.

Did two acca's on all the favourites and swapped Conor and Alvarez for each.

Romero you beast. Some flying knee, helped by the fact Weidman put his head down nice and low for him.

How the hell did Wonderboy survive that onslaught, especially the choke, unreal.

Un fucking believable. Absolutely schooled, Alvarez looked really nervous from the very start while Conor barely broke a sweat.

Like we were all saying during the week, he was in his head completely. Way more than Aldo. At least Aldo hid it until the last moment.

Gutted for Wonderboy. I thought they were actually going to reverse the decision during the moment of confusion there.

Delighted for Conor though. Hanging on for the press conference now.

His best performance yet. Alvarez looked like he didnt deserve to be in the octagon with him. Which, for a champion is absolutely incredible. I said it after the Diaz fight, I dont think anyone in the lightweight division will be able to live those shots from him. You could see from the moment the first left landed, that Alvarez was completely wide-eyed and new he was in for a world of hurt. He couldnt lay a glove on McGregor. Your only hope against him is to take him down, and even then his TDD and work against the cage was brilliant last night, against a so called world class wrestler

Wonderboy is very likable isn't he? Seems like a nice dude. Great fight that one, some heart from Thompson to survive that headlock. Thought he was a goner just before it.

Kickboxing champion; all-American professional fighter. Teaches children how to fight. His father taught him everything he knows. They call him Wonderboy.

If he doesn't don a mask and fight crime by night, I'll be very disappointed.

I have to say, mcgregors fights are hands down the most entertaining sport I watch or have ever watched. Nothing makes me feel as nervous or excited. And this is coming from someone who knows relatively little about the sport, have you ever seen someone so calm in a fight situation, the man is incredible

True.
The level of pre-fight smack-talk he engages in, adds to your level of nervousness too i think. Because he takes such shit, he gives himself no outs, and as he's approaching the ring i find its all i think about, 'if he get beat here he'd fucked'.

San't say i was much of a fan of Wonderboy before Saturday. Good to watch, but then so is Sage Northcutt. There's something clean cut All-American, / Captain America about him that i didn't find very appealing.
So i'd look forward to his fights, but wouldn't necessarily be rooting for him. Wanted Woodley to win on Sat tbh...., until that guillotine.
Fuck me, that was incredible. Helluva fight, and i think it took all of 30 seconds for people so call for the rematch. I'm in.

So as a casual UFC fan can anyone explain how McGregor beats Khabib. If it was a stand up fight obviously Conor would stand a great chance, Johnson seemed to rock Khabib in that first round and I'd imagine if it was McGregor throwing that punch he would've been on his back. But how the fuck does anyone defend against that takedown and grappling, fucker is like an octopus!

He beats him if he can keep the fight on the feet. Khabib is nightmare matchup for Conor, but Conor is a nightmare matchup for Khabib because he's not so good on his feet, and as you said he got rocked in the first. In saying that though, I think he'd be likely to shoot a lot quicker against Conor as he would Johnson, because Johnson's wrestling is pretty good. If Conor is taking a few months off then they should arrange Khabib\ Ferguson again

Watched the fight back a few times last night, for all Eddie's talk about McGregor only having the rock back and being able to nullify it, he really got caught with it a ridiculous amount  - you can have all the game plan in the world until you get in the ring
