There are a few telemarketing people in my office. They work through call lists and clients for subscriptions, events and so on.

To say "they talk too much" is obviously redundant...but they have a habit of using what feels like too many words in their sentences. If that makes sense. It's hard to describe. Like...they could get their point across much easier and quicker than they are.

There's a woman who works in our office once a week. She works from home the rest of the week. She's such a fucking drama lama. There was a paper jam in the photocopier this morning and she's telling anyone who'll listen about the complexities of her saving the day and finding where the jam was.
The machine tells you where the jam is, she opened the door and took the paper out. I'm only short of telling her that she should apply for a position with NASA.

Makes sense.

I've convinced myself that one of them is hepped up on goofballs every day. Prozacked ouvuh.

No way anyone can sustain that level of cheerfulness in the workplace, day in day out.

Yesterday a guy in my work referred to black people as "coloureds".

Not coloured, coloureds, plural.

Is the person young or old? #

If they're old, they just haven't caught up with the ever changing PC term*

If they are young*:

The guy is 40, so really should know better.

Context: My work is in an industrial estate, and in the unit behind us there's a makeshift church. It might be some sort of evangelical type place because now and again we can hear a band rehearsing through the walls downstairs.

I only found out about the church yesterday as I have never come in the back entrance. The music sounds pretty non-churchy to me; I just thought it was a band using the space.

Anyway. This guy was explaining it to me, he said yeah if you go around the back you'll see it, "it has a big sign saying [something something] church of god. If you come here on a Saturday there's loads of coloureds hanging around giving it loads..." and then he raised his hands in a gesture of worship.

hr manager where i work is the pits

he currently has an ad in the canteen saying they need operators, he wants 10 male 5 female

he also organised a staff holiday to spain, but only invited certain people, then had a powerpoint presentation in the canteen running 24/7 showing off where the lucky few were going. there was a lot of angry people in the canteen that week

then last month he emailed everyone to say they can get management training paid for by the company, so naturally nearly everyone signed up. he threw the training together on a powerpoint himself, to give you an idea of how bad it was the first slide was enrique iglesias "i can be your hero" video and they had to sit through it from start to finish, he also added a couple of ed sheeran videos as well because he really likes him
