The MCU vs DCEU thing is pretty much just Snyder is shit. I cant understand why they persist with him.
WB execs sexually assaulted him

Infinity War trailer out later on.

The "trailer-for-a-trailer" thing is usually bullshit but Marvel nailed it.

Infinity War then; good trailer, will be a huge success. Gonna get on a Marvel buzz and rewatch loads of them the next while.

They'll clearly go for a an Empire Strikes Back vibe, Thanos will "win" and some big names are gonna get kilt.

I still think it'll be Steve Rogers in a self-sacrifice, and the follow up will be called Avengers: Captain America Lives. Or some iteration of it.

The lasting appetite for the Superhero genre amazes me tbh.

I don't want yer man Bucky to be Captain America. I know that's what happens but the guy playing him has absolutely no charisma and it would be so boring

Jesus I wouldn't be paying to see any of them. Suppose deadpool and logan weren't too bad but can't ever see myself watching another thor/capn america/avenger etc one again.

Tarantino lined up to direct Star Trek?

Lads, we 100% traversed to a parallell universe at some stage the past few years.

Nothing makes any sense.

Disney apparently closing in on buying Fox's tv and movie assets. Its just gonna be Disney alone releasing films in 5 years time.
At least the X-men and Fantastic Four might join the MCU, that'd be pretty cool. House of M trilogy would be class

Disneys streaming service is going to become a real challenger for Netflix. I reckon Amazon streaming and Hulu will be done for in a few years.

Disney will become the majority shareholder of Hulu with this deal since they already own 30% and they would be buying Fox's share too.
Whether they would want to buy out the rest and solely own it or just create a new one I dunno

Only thing is I wonder what kind of mature/edgy/weird content they will be willing to put on the service.

They could just sell Hulu and the Disney streaming as a package. Keep the more mature content on Hulu then.

This is good, The New Yorker reviews Transformers 5 and gives it the high-brow treatment, finding something artistic to admire among the wreckage.

Zero Oscar buzz about movies so far this year. read a comment that it'll be movies with the least amount of scandal attached to it...

watched Battle of the Sexes the last night. was in in the luxury screen and no one else was there. felt like a personal screening for me and the wife. Movie was good, not great. but has oscar bait all over it :
Based on a true story - tick
pretty young thing (Emma Stone) gets an "ugly" makeover - tick
lesbian sub plot - tick
women beats chauvinist pig of a man - tick

I'm going to say it will be nominated for best movie and best actress. outside chance of best supporting actor for Steve.
