Really enjoyed that. Didn't think it was typical Oscars fodder though.

I might be associating it too much with Hell or High Water cause of the writer, but if that plucked a few noms, no real reason this couldn’t too

Fantastic film; one of the best of the last couple of years.

The contemporary western is a great genre.

The book is fucking laughably bad. I read about 20 pages of it and had to put it down. It reads like a 10 year old's school essay.

It's woeful. I endured the audio book.
If they make a good film it will be some achievement.

It was just more of the same. Entertaining enough but not worthy of the 5 stars it's been getting. At least it wasn't as heavy handed with its taking of storylines from the preprevious films

I enjoyed it.
Bit on the long side, which I don't usually say, and the humour felt a bit too...self-conscious. Like the phone gag at the start.

I absolutely hated those monkey fish nun things on the island, fwiw.

I saw The Last Jedi and thought it was grand
I'm a bit disappointed that Luke went out the way he did. I would have liked more Luke in the next film. He was also a bit out of character in this one. Isn't Luke supposed to be humble and kind? I get it's 'character development' like but still

Also, if Ben Solo was actually decent all along, why did he kill loads of the other Jedi students? Did the whole Luke thinking about killing him thing push him over the edge or ...?

I quite like that Rey's parents are nobodies and that anyone can just be born being force sensitive but it kind of felt anti-climactic at the same time

Rose. Fucking hell. YOU CAN'T LOVE FINN ENOUGH TO BE WILLING TO DIE FOR HIM. YOU'VE ONLY MET HIM FFS

What, no! Not at all.

Dick
The humour was very forced, like a Marvel film. I didn't think it was too long though, and I hate long movies, thought this flew by.

Yeah people losing their shit is a regular thing, but what's funny about it this time is it's clear that
what this and TFA are about is the audience's relationship with Star Wars itself. Rey and Kylo Ren are the children who grew up with the myth, even the toys, just like us; waiting for the day they get to do it all again. But when they do, as in The Last Jedi, they find that they reliving the adventure is impossible, just like us.

Watched John Wick. Didn't get the love atall. Great role for Keanu, but it lacked heavily in pretty much every other department.

I don't think it's a film to analyse too much. It's about Keanu kicking a lot of ass and not much else. Don't think it had any intentions of being anything other than that
